Normally, I don’t to the vanity thing, but I think this “Glenn Beck Plan” needs to be Freeper analyzed and dissected.
First let me say, Glenn Beck has done a great service to America and I really appreciate his Tea Party, patriotic events and leadership. I thought his TV program was fantastic. I enjoy listening to his serious radio discussions, but he and the gang get a little too rambunctious and off the wall at times. That said:
Did anyone else hear Beck this morning talking options for dealing with an Obama gun control and possible gun confiscation effort? What am I missing with this plan?
Frankly, Beck makes me a little nervous sometime with some of his rants, and this was one.
I was multitasking, reading FR, checking the market and halfheartedly listening to Beck in the background. At around 11:00 AM EST, Beck and crew are talking about Obama and the gun control gang and he starts talking about what to do if they begin actively confiscating guns. His planned for resistance to tyranny is to overwhelm the legal/prison the system. ??????????
As I understood Beck: If they come for your guns we should let them arrest all of us, and overwhelm the system. I guess he thinks the legal and penal system can’t handle all of us if we do the MLK/Gandhi peaceful resistance technique. Kumbaya!!
Let me walk through what I think Beck was suggesting we do (as I understood him.)
BECK PLAN
The Feds come to the door and ask about your gun possession.
You admit you have them, but they can’t have them. You affirm your 2nd Amendment rights and tell them to arrest you.
We all do this and grind the legal system to a rapid halt. They can’t arrest everyone can they?
Beck says: To resist with force in numbers would guarantee that we lose. .
He also says: To peacefully resist in mass, we win by breaking the system. .
Will this plan somehow ensure that law and order, respect for private property and the Constitution are miraculously re-established?
Let me propose an alternative theory on how this might work out in Realville and why Beck’s scenario fails if firearms owners are foolish enough to try this.
The Feds realize quickly that they can’t fill up all the gulags with all the peaceful gun control resisters. So they change the collection technique.
Flexible Obama Confiscation Plan
Arrive at suspected noncompliant gun owner’s home.
Search warrant in hand, 3 -4 LEO’s question owner on possession.
Law respecting/abiding gun owner admits/denies he has undeclared/unregistered gun & asserts 2nd Amendment rights.
Arrest him, “search & destroy mission” in gun owner’s domicile. Terrorize family.
Collect firearms, ammo, etc. .
Gun owner goes to jail for day or 2 until substantial bail is met. .
Big legal bills for attorney and court date. .
Quick, simple trial for “open & shut” case on illegal possession. .
How about a fine of $5,000 per firearm, suspended sentence. .
Felony criminal conviction on his record. Loss of right to own/possess firearms in future. Loss of voting rights. Loss of certain employment opportunities, etc., etc. .
Finally, no guns, no freedom, no money, no job. Just Obama and his thuggorcracy making the criminals out of law abiding, patriotic American citizens..
Should I have been listening to Beck a little more closely? What am I missing? Do Obama and his thuggocracy all of a sudden begin to play by the rules and respect the rule of law?
Stick to your guns, no matter what. If they come to take them by force, they have declared war on the Constitution, and on you. At that point, war is joined, just as it was on another big gun confiscation raid on April 19, 1775.
If you are disarmed and led away in cuffs, are you so sure you’ll be bailed out? And not taken to a “new place” with “new rules”?
Every survivor of every genocide says the same: when they come to take your guns, shoot them. Make them work for it, and THEIR system is overwhelmed, because they don’t have 20 million FLEAs to do armed battles all over the country, instead of nice polite arrest raids.
It’s like the Solzhenitzn paragraph “how we burned later in the camps” because they didn’t resist the GRU/KGB in the lobbies and stairwells with axes and knives.
Entire divisions of Russian troops hiked home from WW1 in 1917/18, carrying their rifles and swords and other sidearms. Very early on, Lenin decreed that public safety demanded they all be turned in, under penalty of death.
But they were disarmed, then the purges, the Terror, the gulags.
If you give up your arms, you are placing your entire trust in the future benevolence of the U.S. govt. This trust is fatal. The German gun registration laws and limits on “military” weapons (then, Mausers etc) were put in in the 1920s Weimar, years before Hitler.
All common sense and reasonable gun control laws, I’m sure today’s liberals would agree. Hitler comes along, and uses the list to first disarm, and then ghetto-ize or “deport” or gas the Jews and others, killing millions. Using the “common sense” gun registration lists.
I’m sorry, I do NOT trust that our .gov won’t turn as mean as the old USSR to its “enemies,” the white racist “tea party terrorists,” the bitter clingers. Folks, they perceive that we are reactionary forces not only standing in the way of social progress and utopia, we are actively blocking it. That makes us pure Evil, since their plan is pure Good. That means they will come to feel totally justified in a “final solution to the bitter clinger question.”
Just as it was in other divided and fractured societies under tyrants. Turkey, Germany, Russia, all of the list.

I respect Glenn Beck.
But I simply cannot follow his advice on this.
To do so would mean that I must place my trust and my life in the hands of the system which is as corrupt as corrupt can be.
I would rather die and place my soul in the hands of God.
He entrusted me with his rights, and I intend to defend them.

Obama would let out all the violent criminals (especially Black and Hispanic ones) so he can fill the jails and prisons with “peaceful (white) gun owners”....to prove a point
Note that the two most famous “leaders” of non-violent resistance...Ghandi and MLK, were both shot and killed...rather violently. Ghandi was successful in his Non-violence against the British because the Brits lost so many young males in WW I...and did not have the resources to keep India in line during WW II

I’ve been listening to Alex Jones the last two days. I kinda like him. Not sure what I would do, but I’m getting fed up with this passive thing.
Please understand that it is not possible to disarm or overwhelm the American public through force.
There are close to 100 million American gun owners who possess an estimated 300 million firearms. The combined might of federal forces, including uniformed military personnel, number about 1.5 million. That's close to a 100 to 1 advantage held by The People.
It's even worse than that, because the majority of those in the U.S. military will not obey an order to disarm American citizens. The moment such an order was given, there would be a wholesale breakdown of authority within the military ranks, with the faction choosing to obey such an unlawful order being quickly arrested and/or killed by those remaining loyal to the Constitution.
The CIC would likely be arrested shortly thereafter, and charged with treason. He'd never live to see another day as a free man.
Yes you are correct it will be done the same way the IRS works. Highly visible one at a time. GB and SH will be first.
People who hide their guns from the jackbooted thugs don't understand the fundamental reason for being armed in the first place. They deserve whatever happens to them for being so stupid.
What people will really have to weigh, is either using their firearms to protect life and limb, or being 'detained' under authority of the NDAA - never to be seen again.

Alex Jones I sense is warning those who are progressives that stuff like gun grabbing could very well create an angry violent conflict.
