First, Delaware, now Maryland.

This is quite an IN thing to do with State Executives nowadays.

How about I also give you plaster casts of my car tires? Or, better yet, before I leave the house I can call the police and tell them where I am going and when I will be home.

After all, it's a common sense tool.

From my cold, dead hands libtards!!

Well, their ballistic fingerprinting program proved such a success!

What do you mean you can’t get prints from that side of that finger?

“And the governor is seeking new measures to keep guns out of the hands of those with mental illness who show violent tendencies....”

I want to hear the details/mechanics of that plan.

They’ll have to call this the Constitutional Lawyers’ Full Employment Act of 2013...

"This is quite an IN thing to do with State Executives nowadays."

Many other executives have no problem with that, either, or keeping lawyers on retainer, more protected neighborhoods, more protected offices, etc., keeping them a class apart. We, as a nation, should come down to earth. Otherwise, before long, only the lowly, technically inclined, complicated people will survive (surprise).

You... you... you mean like Massachusetts has had since 1998? And will local police chiefs have the ability to deny you a permit because they don’t like your face, like in Massachusetts? And will the whim of the COP be unappealable in court, like here in Massachusetts? And will the state AG be allowed to deny the sale of any gun he personally doesn’t like, like here in Massachusetts? And will all new guns sold have to adhere to insane, one in the country manufacturing rules like here in Massachusetts? And will all guns sold have to pass a drop test onto concrete, like here in Massachusetts? Embrace the suck. Then join the NRA, GOA, GOAL, any pro-gun group you can find. Or STFU.

You want my fingerprints. Sure, you can take them just as soon as you pry the gun from my cold, dead hands.

****will ask the General Assembly to force prospective gun owners to provide fingerprints to state police****

OKC and Tulsa, OK used to do that for many years. Then it was found it did not solve any crimes so they stopped.

Gun buyers already have to clear a background check.

Where were all these Governors when Fast & Furious came to light?

Seems they surely were silent.

As a thought exercise, apply the same restrictions to those that want to purchase a book and see how the lib heads just about explode. It is actually quite entertaining to see the mental gymnastics of their cognitive dissonance.

None of these proposals will prevent crime. They will instead place the onus on people who want to LAWFULLY own a gun. This is all rubbish. The Governor is trying to fool the public into believing that he is actually doing something, when he is in fact doing nothing constructive.

Are they going to go into the ghetto at 2 am and ask the criminals to swing by and give fingerprints? How about asking them if their weapons are legal?

The politicians are afraid. They know that honest, law-abiding citizens will obey the law and not shoot them. They know that gangbangers will not obey the law and will shoot them.

And so the politicians leave guns in the hands of criminals and plan to take them from honest people.

This is why I moved up I-83 just across the state line several years ago. Never planning to return either.
