Malmstrom AFB is one of three US Air Force Bases that maintains and operates the Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile. Nice, I visited Malmstrom for a few days in February 1979. All of their grain silo’s had no grain. Just a bunch of minutemen, and they were all underground.
:^)

Aloha and good afternoon, Hawaii...((HUGS))

Hope you had some sun today, and you are feeling better.

The rain seems to have stopped, but the temps are supposed to dip into the 20s...icy everywhere!!! Gonna be interesting getting to work. Today, with temps in the 40s, the main roads were just wet. Not looking forward to the drive.

Aloha again Night Owl! ((HUGS))

Plenty of sun and temps in the 80's today....which warmed the body but not the soul. I' ve got to stop listening to the news. opening mail and taking phone calls.....

Thanks for the Road Trip tonight but next week, pick a warmer place. Heard the NY was warmer than California today.

I was stationed there in ‘62. Our job was to get as many sites “in the green” as we could during the Cuban crisis.
It was called the 341st SMW back then. (341st Strategic Missile Wing was then part of SAC)

It was an honor to serve there and years later I was convinced these birds and their crews helped win the cold war.

Met some of the best farmers and ranchers and ordinary Montana people who were all 110 % behind us and our mission.

Hard to believe it’s been fifty years and thank God these silos and launch centers are still there and doing there job for freedom.

Thanks, Sand...safely home.

Still really wet, and now windy, too. Hope the wind dries the main roads some before the temps drop tonight, as predicted, into the 20s and it all freezes.
