Continued -

After hearing from Americans from across the political spectrum, we decided to focus on some key priorities: closing background check loopholes, banning military-style assault weapons, making our schools safer, and increasing access to mental health services. The ideas we sent to President Obama are straightforward. Each of them honors the rights of law-abiding, responsible Americans to bear arms. Some of them will require action from Congress; the President is acting on others immediately. But they're all commonsense and will help make us a little safer. Now is the time for all of us to act. Read about the events that brought us to this point, learn about the plan we've proposed to help protect our kids, and then add your name in support to help build momentum for this plan. Here's what we've put together: We're calling for requiring background checks for all gun sales and closing the loopholes that allow dangerous individuals to make their purchase without going through one of these checks. We're asking for a new, stronger ban on military-style assault weapons and high-capacity magazines that allow a shooter to fire dozens of bullets as quickly as he can pull a trigger. And we're asking Congress to help protect law enforcement by make it illegal for members of the public to possess armor-piercing bullets. We're going to give law enforcement more tools and resources to prevent and prosecute gun crimes, and we're going to end the freeze on gun violence research that prevents the Center from Disease Control from looking at the causes of gun violence. We're calling on Congress to help make schools safer by putting up to 1,000 school resource officers and mental health professionals in schools and ensuring they have comprehensive emergency management plans in place. And we're going to increase coverage so that students and young adults can get access to the mental health treatment they may need. We know that no policy we enact or law we enforce can prevent every senseless act of violence in our country. But if we can save the life of even one child, we have a deep responsibility to act. Now is the time to come together to protect our kids. Learn about the plan, then add your name alongside mine: http://www.whitehouse.gov/now-is-the-time Thanks, Vice President Joe Biden

You're going to hear a lot about it, but I wanted to make sure you got a chance to get the facts, straight from me.

That's where I started laughing. That Joe....what a dunce. Silly, ignorant goofball.

It was bad enough when he was just a half-fast, brain dead, plagerizing moron with unfounded aspirations to adequacy; now the lunkhead thinks he’s a statesman.

When I want to hear from a mental retard, I’ll go visit a nice, understandable one at a group home or my local fast food restaurant.

True story. I had to shake hands with Biden once. He has a dead fish hand shake. He’s a not a man. (And dumber than dirt.)

If your next door neighbor intentionally sets your house on fire, does making matches illegal keep you any safer?

If you catch a drunk driver, does making consumption of alcohol prevent it from happening again?

If you catch a child cheating on a test, should a professor make all other students take tests in supervised closets forever more?

So why then, when a mentally ill psycho murders his mother and steals her guns to go murder others, do we think restricting access to weapons by law abiding citizens is going to help keep anyone safer?

(I know. Singing the rhetorically obvious to this choir.)

LOL

Joe, you guys were much a do about nothing today.

No EO that was meaningful in any way and a couple that are prevented by law from being acted upon.

I don’t take you serious on this because what I saw today was YOU got the message:

“That which is inalienable shall not be infringed upon”

“Ave nice day”

We all know this is buffoonery of the first order. Not one child will be protected unless it is by a protector with a gun in every school.

I swear Biden is not much more mentally than a sophomoric Chimpanzee.

And for Biden to roll out children to support the destruction of 2nd amendment rights is chilling.

Sadly, the current President's list of 23 is a meaningless political gimmick, lacking substance or meaning.

Just think!

That Being acknowledged by our Declaration of Independence to be Creator and "Divine Providence," and by the First U. S. President to be "the Supreme Ruler of the Universe" only needed Ten Commandments for all people, for all situations, and for all time, and when He came to earth, He summed up those Ten as being only One great law:

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

Perhaps if an American President were publicly to acknowledge, as did many previous Presidents, this basic duty of citizens toward each other, emphasizing that the duty is to the Creator and Giver of Life, Liberty, and Rights, then a new tone might be set for youth in the nation.

Were the President of the United States to undertake a national effort to restore the teaching of the ideas of our Declaration of Independence in the schools, emphasizing the Creator-endowed rights and liberties of each individual and their duties and responsibilities as citizens, how might that change the environment in the society?

"Although guided by our excellent Constitution in the discharge of official duties, and actuated, through the whole course of my public life, solely by a wish to promote the best interests of our country; yet, without the beneficial interposition of the Supreme Ruler of the Universe, we could not have reached the distinguished situation which we have attained with such unprecedented rapidity. To Him, therefore, should we bow with gratitude and reverence, and endeavor to merit a continuance of His special favors” ~George Washington, 1797 letter to John Adams

Sounds good, but is it just lip service Mr VP?

Ah, I thought so.

But if we can save the life of even one child, we have a deep responsibility to act.

Translation: Just so long as we call it "for the safety of the children", we think we can justify the enslavement of a once free People.

Whenever you hear the Left stressing "moral imperative", "save even one innocent life" and other such catch phrases, be very afraid for your Freedoms.

Perhaps someone will point out that if saving the maximum number of children's lives is the goal of this "moral imperative", then it makes fae mor sense to do away with automobiles, high places to fall from, water, fire, poisons, etc. as these all kill more children than guns.
