Russia to outlaw 'homosexual propaganda' and ban public events that promote gay rights.

A public kiss between two men could be defined as illegal 'homosexual propaganda' and bring a fine of up to £10,000 if a bill that comes up for a first vote this month becomes law in Russia.

The legislation being pushed by the Kremlin and the Russian Orthodox Church would make it illegal to tell minors information that is defined as ‘propaganda of sodomy, lesbianism, bisexuality and transgenderism.’

It includes a ban on holding public events that promote gay rights.

I dont know where I live any more

I don’t recognize these people around me. all selfish pricks demanding the govt loot the makers to give to them, the takers

and now it’s similar to a ‘sin’ to be a hard working businessman in the US

Russia just might be the country to be blessed next. They are banning sin, opening up all doors for the gospel, haven’t heard but probably will allow the bible in schools and if they ever started backing Israel, the U.S. will really be doomed.

Putin understands the ramifications of a homosexual national culture. America does not and will discover them the hard way.

If you ignore annoying problems like the bureaucracy and corrupt police, etc. the "American Dream" is probably more alive in Russia than in the USA right now.

Case in point: my in-laws. They are Armenian by blood, and moved from their home in Soviet Azerbaijan to southern Russia in 1987 as refugees during the war that was going on at the time. To summarize a long, complicated story, the Azeri guy in charge of the town threatened that any Armenians who didn't leave within the week would be shot...they have to leave everything; house, possessions, everything stayed behind. My wife was two years old, and her Mom was pregnant with her sister.

Fast forward to today: despite having no college education, they now have two stores, own their *house* (not apartment like many Russians) outright, and regularly travel to Moscow and Istanbul to buy inventory for the stores, relaxation, etc. Their daughter (my wife) lives with me in the USA and has a B.S. from Rutgers University. They have no debt, and comparatively, live better than your average American middle class family.

Tell me how likely this story is in America today.

A fun note: this story did wonders to shut up the liberals my wife encountered in her classes when they complained about how the lower classes can never pull themselves up no matter how hard they struggle...

You can learn the Cyrillic alphabet very rapidly, and you would probably speak the language acceptably within 6 months if you lived there and spent a little time studying.

Also, everyone forgets that Russia has a huge region in the south, on the Black Sea. The weather there is much more temperate than Moscow (where everyone gets their ideas of Russian winter). In fact, this morning, my mother-in-law was talking about how unseasonably warm is it today (~60F, Krasnodar Region).

Add to that the fact that they just eliminated all income tax for small businesses (other than their equivalent of SS), and are laying off a good portion of their tax agents.

(At least in Krasnodar where my in-laws live.)

Is it for real? Didn’t Hitler persecute homosexuals for show but homosexuals were rife in the ranks of Nazi officers?

We helped Russia in WW2 so maybe they will return the favor if things ever gets really bad in the USA.

“2. publicly acknowledge socialism / communism doesn’t work”

More than that - they MAKE their kids read some serious books that detail the horrors of Communism.

We give Putin a lot of crap on this site, but when he made “One day in the life of Ivan Denisovich” (which details life in the Gulag, in great detail) required reading, I knew they had zoomed by us on the road to having a strong society.

Now if they would just contribute to global warming a bit more and warm up the country, they would really have a winning combination going.

Putin understands power and he understands the political power the big, rich gay-and-lesbian organizations have gained here in the US.

He’s not about to let them have that kind of power. In some ways the gay and lesbian organizations here are kingmakers, with the influence they have with TV. they can make or break politicians by their portrayal on TV.

That’s why politicians kiss up to them, sign bills that empower them. It’s really a kind of extortion racket.

He’s not going to hand that kind of organizing and political power over to them.

It’s about that as much as it is about two guys kissing.

I attended an elementary school which regularly practiced “nuclear bomb drills.” We would kneel down in the hallways by our lockers with our hands over our heads. This was to prevent the rubble caused by the bombs from suffocating us. In my wildest, wildest imagination, I would have NEVER dreamed that 50 years later the Russians would be building the society upon which freedoms could be enjoyed, while ours would be crumbing at breakneck speed. The communists are burying us, just like Kruschev predicted, not with building rubble, but by the traitors in our own country who are enabling them.

Amerika has replaced Russia as the kingdom of socialism, communism, sit on thy butt ism, homosexualism, and a president who has damned America to the judgment that God will bring for turning our backs on Him. It is simple folks, repentance is the only, THE ONLY WAY that America has any chance. But, sadly, I fear that is never going to be.
