Why is government stockpiling guns, ammo?(Video at Link)
WND ^ | 2/4/2013 | Joseph Farah

Is the U.S. government getting ready for a war we don’t know about?

And, if that’s why Washington is stockpiling massive amounts of ammunition (hollow points, by the way), why is Homeland Security doing the buying instead of the Defense Department?

I have some theories.

Many of you will remember a story I broke a long time ago – about presidential candidate Barack Obama’s little-noticed announcement that, if elected in 2008, he wanted to create a “civilian national security force” as big, as strong and as well-funded as the Defense Department.

Here’s what he actually said at a campaign stop in Colorado July 2, 2008: “We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.”

Could what we see happening now in the Department of Homeland Security be the beginning of Obama’s dream and our constitutional nightmare?

We’ve learned more about Obama’s vision since then. Maybe it’s time for a review: •He made the campaign promise to build this $439 billion domestic army, but all references to the initiative were inexplicably deleted from the copy of his speech posted on his website while others mysteriously disappeared from transcripts of the speech distributed by the campaign. That was strange – and ominous. •At the time, I had never heard anyone use the phrase “civilian national security force” before. But I did a little homework and found out where it originated. It was first proposed by then Bush administration Defense Secretary Robert Gates.

The people need to fight for their right to bear arms.

If a tyrannical government is unopposed by armed citizens then it will make their job a lot easier for the central socialist government to take control and enslave you. This is the beginning of a dictatorship. America never needed more departments or agencies like the DHS. What are the CIA, FBI, NSA, state and local law enforcement, and the military for?

The more agencies this government creates, the more bureaucracy and governmental control that results and consequently people begin to lose their freedoms more and more. Creating another agency gives Obama and his lunatic friends the advantage of hand picking the members; therefore, this police force would be loyal to the dictator in chief and to the government.

The good news is that the “civilian national security force” will be composed of affirmative-action types.

Affirmative-action types are total incompetents.

It will be proven very, very quickly.

I’m starting to think the whole thing is a money laundering scheme. Ammo is the perfect thing to say you are buying when in fact you are just shifting money around and getting kickbacks.

When it is time to reconcile the books, you just say the ammo was used up at the range.

How soon until an excuse if offered explaining why convicted felons are holding high office in the “civilian national security force”?

Sociopaths and sadists have places in totalitarian organizations... always have. Professional police organizations work to weed out the thin skinned - those with chips on their shoulders. And common criminals... Groups like TSA don't... maybe for a reason.

My guess is this administration will use the 'they've paid their debt to society' meme... or maybe a race card or two. The excuses will be lie, but the idiots at the New York Times and Washington Post will buy these liberal excuse without question. And soon - even the excuses won't be offered. It'll just 'be'... and it'll be waaay to late for the New York Times to object...

The bad news is that the affirmative-action types can be very vicious

Except they never reconcile the books. Every year the GAO puts out a report saying the Federal books are in such a mess it is impossible to audit them. Been going on at least 20 years.

Probably the most under reported scandal going.

But they aren't very smart.

They won't fare very well at all when they start the jackboot actions.

They have never experienced resistance of any kind.

Is there any chance that the real intent is to prevent OTHER people from stockpiling ammo before a ban on ammo is passed?

They have twisted the word “militia” in the 2nd Amendment to prepare for the Homeland Security Militia coming to America.
Wait for it.

My comment on WND website:

One defense we may have is to infiltrate the force at all levels. Patriots need to appear to join the oppressors in order to feed information to the resistance. They will also have opportunities to do harm from within (”accidents” at gov’t armories, food poisoning in mess halls, barracks fires, “accidental” deaths of officers and high ranking underlings). But most important will be gathering and passing on intelligence. Get those GIVING the orders whenever possible. I’d volunteer, but I don’t think they’re looking to hire anyone in their seventh decade!

Some guy posted a comment here last week that he paid $150.00 for a couple bricks of 22 ammo on line. Those sold for #15.00 to $20.00 a brick, a few weeks ago. A Brick is 500, to 525 rounds depending on the brand. 223 rounds if you can find them are $1.00 a round, so are most common sizes.
