WASHINGTON, D.C., February 4, 2013 (LifeSiteNews) – President Barack Obama on Sunday said the Boy Scouts of America should overturn its national ban on homosexual members and leaders, just days before the organization is scheduled to vote on the issue.
In a pre-Super Bowl interview with CBS, anchor Scott Pelley asked the president if he believed the Scouts should allow openly gay members and leaders.
"Yes," Obama said.
Pressed to elaborate, Obama said homosexuals should be able to fully participate in “every institution” that others can.
“I think that my attitude is that gays and lesbians should have access and opportunity the same way everybody else does, in every institution and walk of life,” the president said.
Since coming into office, Obama has become increasingly favorable toward the homosexualist cause. Last year, he announced his support for same-sex “marriage,” and used his second inaugural address to highlight the issue. He has also ordered his administration to stop defending the Defense of Marriage Act, which defines marriage as a union between one man and one woman. He also pushed for an end to the “don't ask, don't tell” policy that barred open homosexuals from serving in the military.
Although the BSA national executive board reaffirmed the national ban on homosexuality just six months ago, calling it “absolutely the best policy,” pressure from gay activists led them to announce last week that they will consider dropping the ban at their national meeting. The group is expected to vote on the issue Wednesday.
If the Scouts do end the national ban, policy on whether to admit open homosexuals will be left to local councils to decide.
The left wants to destroy any institution or tradition based on Judaeo-Christian foundations.

Somewhere I read that the LGBT population is only 3% of the population yet they commit 33% of sexual crimes against children. I’m willing to bet that the figure is watered down and that the percentage could be higher in respect to pedophelia.

Admitting and recognizing sodomists isn’t my idea of the BSA; rather it’s going the same way as our infiltrated military.

As things stand now, for the BSA to admit homosexuals will be the end of the BSA, with the Catholic church, the Mormon church, and several other major churches letting it be known that if they agree to this, they will immediately lose over ONE MILLION Boy Scouts, and any number of church meeting areas.
Likewise, the BSA will lose enormous amounts of money, because their donations will completely dry up, in that liberals are not big on giving to charity, just for the sake of doing so; and corporations are fickle at best, giving only for tax purposes.
On the plus side for the BSA, they will get a bunch of pedophile lawsuits, and any concern for Scouting will go out the window in favor of supporting Democrat politicians. They will have effectively turned the Boy Scouts into a leftist Jugend organization.
If the Scouts lift the ban on queers Obama will be volunteering to be a camp counselor.

AT&T are in charge of the pressure. The way I understand it, they,along with Bass Pro Shops and a few others found on an easy google search, are pressuring this withthe threat of withholding money/funding. whoever’s in charge of them is the authority, and, of course BSA who if they wimp out on this are too beholden to financing to be moral leaders.
Big difference. In the military they have to still be discreet or run the risk of getting fragged or blue on blue.
Hmmm... There’s a target on the “freedom to associate” under this regime. Because having the freedom to associate includes the freedom to exclude. *ESPECIALLY* when not excluding puts predator and prey into the same room.

The reference to "every institution" almost certainly means churches. Every church that teaches Judeo-Christian morality will be in the feds' crosshairs. Mormans and Catholics will be first, but they will come for all of us. Probably first lose tax exempt status and be sued repeatedly with the collusion of the feds. Arrests for hate crimes may follow.
I am trying to rejoice about this (Matthew 5:11-13), but I am too sad for my son. He loves Scouting, and now that will be gone.
