Nothing. That is what President Barack Obama did on the night of September 11, 2012, as terrorists attacked the U.S. consulate in Benghazi and killed four Americans, among them Ambassador Christopher Stevens. President Obama’s inaction was revealed in testimony before the Senate Armed Services Committee on Thursday by outgoing Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta and Joint Chiefs of Staff General Martin Dempsey.
Under direct questioning by Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-NH), Panetta admitted that he had no communication with President Obama after their “pre-scheduled” meeting at 5:00 p.m. EDT. The attack on the consulate had already been under way for 90 minutes at that time. Neither the president nor anyone else from the White House called afterwards to check what was happening; the Commander-in-Chief had left it “up to us,” said Panetta.
Panetta’s testimony directly contradicts President Obama’s own claim to have issued “three direectives” as soon as he learned “what was going on” in Benghazi. As he told a Denver reporter in October: I gave three very clear directives. Number one, make sure we are securing our personnel and that we are doing whatever we need to. Number two, we are going to investigate exactly what happened and make sure it doesn't happen again. Number three, find out who did this so we can bring them to justice.
That same claim was subsequently repeated by other Democrats, including Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel, who came to the president’s defense. But if those directives were indeed given--and proof has never been produced--they were given long after the attack, not while the attack was going on, during which time the president did nothing.

Panetta, in his testimony to Linsey Graham today said that he (Panetta) had a 15 minute conversation with Zer0 about the information he received from the Defense Dept about the Benghazi attack. When questioned if Panetta received any follow up communications with the President, Panetta said there were none. Zer0 took himself totally out of the loop. Zer0 is responsible for the disaster and the lies afterwards.
Yes. We heard excerpts of Dr. Carter’s speech on Rush yesterday. - COMMON SENSE; but that common sense remedy doesn’t leave room for Obama and his Stupid Nanny State to bloat and control.
These hearings mean nothing! That is just what will happen. Nothing!

Correction - His name is DR. BENJAMIN CARSON - not “Carter”. I read that his life’s story has already had a movie “Gifted Hands - the Ben Carson Story” with Cuba Gooding.
Yeah, I’ve no doubt that Obama’s three directives were made up after the fact, but technically they don’t contradict his simply putting himself out of the loop that evening (if indeed that’s even what he did).
I love Breitbart and its sites, but its accuracy in presentation of news often leaves something to be desired.

I don’t think there is just one reason for the attack, but multiple reasons.
One reason for the attack was the “spontaneous” lie.
They lied about it being “spontaneous” to make it appear as if the terrorist are so in tune with the news they can pick up on a news story, in this case the protest in Egypt, and plan a terrorist attack around a news story in a matter of minutes.
The fact is the news is being orchestrated by the left in this country for the terrorist attacks. The protest in Egypt was planned in order to create the spontaneous lie.
They can no longer deny the terrorist attacks are associated with news stories being pushed by the left, so the best they can do is make it appear as if the terrorist are simply picking up on the news and then planning the attacks based on what is in the news and not having the news orchestrated for the attacks by the left.
They knew the spontaneous lie would never hold up, so Hillary in her statement immediately following the attack, planted the seed that the attack was not spontaneous but was planned by someone to hurt the Obama administration.
Hillary was doing what she does best, blame others for what she or Bill are guilty of.
She did the exact same thing with the first 9/11 when she held up a news paper proclaiming BUSH KNEW. She then sits back and lets the left wing kooks go nuts with all the wild theories blaming whoever it is Hillary is targeting.
In this case it appears as if it was Romney and Romney had collaborated with the terrorist to make Zippo look like another Jimmy Carter. That right there I believe is the reason Zippo was tied to the hip of Carter during the dems convention just a few days before the attack. Orchestrating the news before the attack by having talk radio compare Zippo to Jimmy Carter.
Releasing the blind turd in a turban was probably part of the overall plan.
It’s well worth listening to Dr. Carter’s entire speech and watching Obama’s reaction throughout. A quiet gauntlet was laid down yesterday.
The doctor’s name is Dr. Benjamin CARSON. Ha. Nothing the Left would like better than having people think he might be Jimmy Carter’s son. That would serve to discredit him.
You are right - I corrected myself in a later post, and realize that I have a burned brain by blowing Dr. Carson’s last name.
