Members of Congress Demand Obama Administration Classify Ft. Hood Attack as an 'Act of Terrorism'

In the wake of an ABC News story detailing claims by victims of the Fort Hood shooting that they have been neglected by the military and 'betrayed' by President Obama, the chair of the House Homeland Security Committee has sent a letter to his fellow members of Congress demanding that the Obama administration classify the attack as a terrorist act and provide full benefits to the victims and their families.

"It is time for the administration to recognize the Fort Hood shooting for what it is—an act of terrorism," wrote Rep. Michael McCaul, R.-Texas, in a letter cosigned by Rep. Frank Wolf, R.-Virginia. "To date, the Department of Defense and the Army classify this attack [as] 'workplace violence,' despite mountains of evidence [that] clearly proves the Ft. Hood shooting was an act of terror."

This is a total disgrace. Hasan committed terrorism and treason. Atricle III, section 3, first paragraph of Constitution states:

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.

There were over 50 witnesses to his massacre while he screamed "Allah Aukbar" and many others witnesssed his pro-Islamist diatribes, meaning this would be a slam dunk treason case. All of that could also be used to prove terrorizm and terrorist intent. Of course, it would undermine the Illegal's entire program of coddling his Mudslime co-religionists, something he's never going to allow.

Why would a Muzzie POTUS prosecute another Muzzie for doing Muzzie stuff?

Hence: workplace violence.

The question is whether Congress will ever allow Obama’s coddling of his co-Islamists to be undermined. We expect a snake to be a snake, and that is what Obama, Hasan, etc are. Snakes bent on destroying this country - eating her alive.

We don’t expect the pest exterminators, who are being paid to get rid of snakes so we can be safe, to also be snakes. And that is what Congress is revealing to everybody - which of them are snakes and which are not. So far there are MAYBE a couple who are not snakes themselves or in bed with the snakes.

If there has even been a case of treason by a POTUS, it’s the way the Illegal is handling this case.

Won’t happen. The current occupant of the oval office will not do anything that annoys his co-religionists.

I have been imploring my member of Congress (PETE OLSON Tx 22nd)to do EXACTLY this from the very beginning. He has yet to do so. Maybe if enough of my fellow Texans call his office ((202) 225-5951), he will see the light and FINALLY do the right thing to see to it that this proposal becomes reality!

If your rep is someone else, please call their office and demand that they get on board.

Our troops deserve so much better than this!

This disgraceful behavior by the Administration and Obama personally show just how little power Congress seems to have against the Muslim in Chief. There should have been hard hitting hearings and specific findings and legislative directives rather than the Administration's self serving findings that never mention Islam and Hasan's religious motivations and animus against non-Muslims.

This will never happen until the House plays hardball and not just claiming they are playing hardball.

It’s far worse than just an “animus against non-Muslims.” It’s animus against the United States and the best this country stands for, animus provoked by and totally concurrent with his Muslim beliefs and much of Islam itself. Thus, his mass murder of American service people was a direct, deliberate, motivated attack on the United States and an act of war by an entirely sane, totally evil fanatic. He deserves nothing less than to be prosecuted for treason, sentenced to death, and executed. It’s impossible to find a stronger treason case. After all, the evidence against Timnothy McVeigh was almost entirely circumstantial, although compellingly strong, and he was properly tried, sentenced, and executed within six years.

What gives him the right to call it anything? Does he actually have that much power? Something happens and he has the power to name it? Ft Hood was workplace violence? Then so was 911.

God, republicans are so weak.

He has the legal right to characterize it because he's the Commander in Chief of the military. However, calling treason and terrorism "workplace violence," is treason itself because he's not enforcing the treason clause of the Constitution that directly describes what Hasan did and the Illegal's oath of office requires him to uphold the Constitution.
