On “The Daily Show” on Thursday, host Jon Stewart grilled United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice about the Obama administration’s response to the attacks on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, last year.
Stewart pressed her to explain why there was so much back-and-forth between government agencies and why no one seemed to have the straight story.
Stewart asked why there seemed to be more effort put into ironing out talking points rather than preventing the attack in the first place. As he put it, “Why is there a bureaucratic system in place that is so tenacious with the explanation, yet seemingly abdicates a little bit of responsibility for the initial thing?”
Stewart pressed her: “Do you think the bureaucracy is more tenacious and detail-oriented when it comes to the political aspects of their job and less efficacious when it comes to some of the more brass nuts and bolts thing?”

He listed correctly each of the contradictory finger-pointing explanations and denials between DNI, CIA, FBI, and DOD as to who in the “intelligence community” wrote the talking points that Rice read from but Rice only gave the excuse that “there was confusion.”
Brett Baer played it on his show with considerable amazement.

This was Rice’s first interview since being dumped as SOS candidate and I am sure the White House was expecting another kissy kissy soft interview from JS like the one on 60 Minutes.
A DNC spokesman is expected to announce a replacement in the morning.

Jon Stewart is about to get voted off the island.
If that was a grilling I’d send the meat back for more time on the grill. Stewart lobbed softball after softball, ending up with them laughing it up at how stupid anyone is who questions the Obama line.
She will have plenty of time to think about the four individuals slaughtered by her and her cohorts inaction.
Hopefully, a long (eternal) tour in HELL will be in her future.

I wonder why none of the families of the slain in Benghazi were invited to be guests at the SOTU address. Wonder why no GOP invited them even. Such a shame.
Maybe Stewart is leaning on Barry on behalf of some left-wing cabal as a form of blackmail concerning another hidden issue which Barry hasn’t delivered on yet.
The White House calls up Stewart and says “What to we have to do to get you to drop the Benghazi interrogations on your show?” The Stewart tells them.
My liberal son, who voted for Barry, gets all of his news from Stewart and Colbert, so maybe he will start asking questions about Benghazi.
This is so that as the 2016 campaign kicks into high gear and Stewart starts slamming republicans and parroting the media party line, he'll have a 2013 interview to point to and say that he's been equally tough on democrats.
"0bama offered you a promotion to SoS immediately following your comment on the 5 Sunday news shows.. Did you say 'protest over a video' for 0bama in exchange for a promotion by 0bama shorty afterward?"
"Do you believe the 'protest over a video' narrative was an attempt to downplay the terrorist attack at Benghazi in order to lessen its impact on 0bama's re-election bid?"
"Do you believe 0bama would've been re-elected had the truth about 0bama's handling of it been immediately disclosed?"
He must be a racist.

I have long said I wish I could come back in 500 years to read the history books on this time period. The chapters about the deal struck between media and the Obama machine will be like a twisted Hollywood horror plot.
