They bound his hands to the rear of a van, and then sped off, dragging the slender taxi driver along the pavement as a crowd of onlookers shouted in dismay. The man was later found dead. A gut-wrenching video of the scene is all the more disturbing because the men who abused the Mozambican immigrant were uniformed South African police officers and the van was a marked police vehicle.

Having many friends from South Africa, they said just because they were in uniform or a marked van does does in anyway mean they were actually official.
I can find bits & snippets, but not the whole video. Cops must have ‘confiscated’ the full vid to get it out of the public domain, or something. Is there one of the 2 on that page I’m missing?
Yet the left will tell you that it was so much worse under white rule.
All I see is the police trying desperately to get the man IN the van, and the man fighting to stay hanging out of the van. The police tried several times to lift him back into the van and the crowd started to get more and more violent. Finally out of self preservation the police have to speed off to save their own lives dragging the poor idiot would refused to get back in the van.
As far as I am concerned the police did everything they could, but eventually had to speed off to save themselves from the riotous animals.
All cultures are equal, right? /s

That's what I saw too. In fact, they even drove real slow in order to convince the guy to get in the van.
Oh well.......
These so-called police operate like gangsters. I hope the people responsible get nailed and imprisoned.

I am horrified by how difficult it is to horrify me these days.

Kind of like punching a pregnant woman and then slamming her to the pavement on her head. eh!
The victim apparently did not die from being dragged, the evidence suggests he was beaten to death in police custody later on.
Don’t know why people are surprised by this. You can’t take people who put burning tires around the necks of others, or hack them to death with machetes, or stone them to death, put a uniform on them, and expect them to act differently the next time there is a disagreement. The culture is one of the strongest mob shall rule, as can be seen here when the crowd pushes in and the police vehicle takes off. Or when the police clashed with the miners at Marikana.
Interesting that in both cases it was immigrants against locals.
