Democrats and the media have accuses Tea Party favorite Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) of "McCarthyism" merely for posing tough questions to and about Chuck Hagel during the latter's confirmation as Secretary of Defense. Yet a recent column by former Secretary of Labor Robert Reich reveals who the real McCarthyites are in U.S. politics today, as Reich likens the Tea Party to a conspiracy "to undermine the government of the United States."
Reich, who has steadfastly supported President Barack Obama's big-government, tax-and-spend agenda, wrote that the Tea Party had "infiltrated" the government at every level, and had used the budget cuts in the sequester to begin "dismantling pieces of it." He outlined the rest of his conspiracy theory at the left-wing Salon.com:
Imagine a plot to undermine the government of the United States, to destroy much of its capacity to do the public’s business, and to sow distrust among the population.
Imagine further that the plotters infiltrate Congress and state governments, reshape their districts to give them disproportionate influence in Washington, and use the media to spread big lies about the government.

We ARE trying to destroy this “government”. It isn’t the one outlined in the Constitution and NEEDS to be done away with.
FDR almost succeeded except that the pesky war employed people again and of course that would-be dictator died before he could sell off post-war Europe and Japan to Stalin. The government isn’t in rebellion, it is assuming the dictatorial powers of a king. The 1776 moment is coming close.

One man’s treason, is another man’s revolution. If only the people currently in power didn’t abandon their Constitutional obligations in their quest for power, they wouldn’t have to worry about a peasent backlash, or a TEA party uprising. Washington DC is a small piece of real estate in a vast country. If I was them, I would be worried. The very fact that they keep hammering away at the TEA party and Conservatives means that we are a viable threat to their system of corruption.

The only thing being undermined is the constitution, and the entity that is undermining it IS the government.
