Hobby Lobby May Close

Our government threatens to fine job creators in a bad economy. Our government threatens to fine a company that’s raised wages four years running. Our government threatens to fine a family for running its business according to its beliefs. It’s not right. I know people will say we ought to follow the rules; that it’s the same for everybody. But that’s not true. The government has exempted thousands of companies from this mandate, for reasons of convenience or cost. But it won’t exempt them for reasons of religious belief.

So, Hobby Lobby and my family are forced to make a choice. With great reluctance, we filed a lawsuit today, represented by the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, asking a federal court to stop this mandate before it hurts our business. We don’t like to go running into court, but we no longer have a choice. We believe people are more important than the bottom line and that honoring God is more important than turning a profit.

Putting people out of business so the government is the only source of income for families fits in perfectly with the Cloward-Piven Strategy of Manufactured Crisis - a plan to lead to the collapse of capitalism and America by inverting the pyramid so that the government-dependent are a huge group supported by the taxes of the few who still have jobs. It’s unsustainable. They know it’s unsustainable. Their goal is the collapse of America and of capitalism.

George Soros (who has said he has bought and paid for the democratic party and owns it) has said that he believes he is God and as God his chief goal is to destroy capitalism and America, which he views as the world’s great evils. Hobby Lobby is evil in his eyes, because the greater good would be for the government to have control of all manufacturing and to dish out to every citizen of the world just how much money the government wants everybody to have. That way there wouldn’t be any competition, nobody would be left in the dust, and everybody would be HAPPY (or so Soros thinks). Never mind that communism has failed everywhere it has been tried, because it doesn’t factor in the human need for motivation.

Vikingkitties and fogbowers, please take note of this and stop with the brain-dead “misunderstanding” of what I’ve been saying. Soros thinks he is doing good. He thinks that freedom should be sacrificed for security, and that communism is the answer to the world’s problems. This is what he himself has said publicly. He is afraid that the US will win the “war on terror” because then America and capitalism will be strong, and he believes America and capitalism are the world’s greatest evils.

He makes lots and lots of money by exploiting the free market system but his intent is to destroy the very hand that feeds him - because he thinks he is God and thinks a benevolent world dictatorship of government bureaucrats should be making all the decisions for the little people (he, of course, would be exempted. The top-dog communists are always exempt from the same rules that the little people are stuck with - because they have the POWER, and that is all that matters).

In his “perfect world”, the government should decide how many rooms and what design your house can have (the same one as everybody else!). The government should decide what hours you should work, at what job you should work, and how much you should get paid for that work. The government should decide which medicines you are allowed to have, how much you are allowed to eat, and what you eat. The government should decide what you can ingest mentally and what you can output mentally. The government will decide what is OK for you to believe and what information you are able to access.

Sounds just like Islam. Sounds the OPPOSITE of the God of the Bible, who allows human choice and freedom. Our Declaration of Independence is NOT religiously neutral. It says that all men are endowed by their Creator with certain rights that can never be taken away - only infringed by government overstepping its bounds. Our founding document affirms the FREEDOMS that are “self-evident”. Those freedoms are NOT “self-evident” to Islam or to a host of other worldviews, including communism. America is the enemy, to those other worldviews, because America upholds both freedom and the One who has ordained freedom.

Communism and Islamism have the same end goal. Once freedom is destroyed, the only remaining issue is who gets to be God. George Soros, Vladimir Putin, or Mahmoud Ahmadinejad? ALL of them would do what they think is best for the rest of the world - which they’ve already shown is NOT freedom.

These people do not THINK they are evil. No tyrant thinks they are evil; they’re always just doing what they think is best. Adolf Hitler didn’t think he was evil; he was simply getting rid of “defectives” for the good of Germany. But they all ARE evil, because they are enemies of life and freedom. They are not God but are trying to steal the Lordship of the One who really IS God - the One who reveals in the Ten Commandments that individuals have a right to life, to truth, and to possession, and that theft of those things by any other person (or government, acting unjustly) is SIN. Adolf Hitler MURDERED. He took what was not his to take - human lives that neither he nor any other human being CREATED.

Larry Grathwohl observed the discussions of Weather Underground members and described the surreal situation of listening to a group of about 25 people - most of whom had graduate degrees from Columbia University and other “respectable” institutions - figuring out how to exterminate the 25 million people that they expected to resist the switch from the worldview in the Declaration of Independence to communism (the worldview of “benevolent” tyranny, such as is held by George Soros, Vladimir Putin, Fidel Castro, Ahmadinejad, etc and WAS held by Hitler, Mao Zedung, Stalin, Bin Laden, etc). Environmentalists have said that in order for the world to be “sustainable”, 90% of the world’s population has to die. “Carbon offsets” don’t change the amount of carbon in the atmosphere; all they do is redistribute wealth, to try to make the world a “more fair” place, by forcing the “developed” world to give money and resources to the “undeveloped” world.

And trying to provide for the undeveloped world is a good goal, as is healthy living, etc. But the philosophy of tyrants is always that the end justifies the means. If helping some poor starving child in Africa means you have to destroy the spirit and drive of Hobby Lobby (who may well be already contributing lots of money to combat world hunger, as may their employees with the earnings they make...) then so be it. “GOD”/Soros has decided that it’s no good to have people work at Hobby Lobby and freely/willingly give money to help the poor in Africa; instead, Hobby Lobby has to be destroyed and the GOVERNMENT has to take over all the money and decide who gets what. (And we all know that government is the LEAST efficient and most corrupt administrator there is; the people who are efficient are those who are committed to the cause and are using THEIR OWN MONEY and thus have the motivation to use the money wisely. IOW, charities funded and manned by volunteers. The kind of charities that Hobby Lobby and her employees would support, if they were allowed to continue to make a living through honest work while living in accordance with their own conscience and religious belief.)

So Vikingkitties (whichever Freeper you are), you and your liberal friends such as those at Fogbow need to ask yourselves whether you really believe that a well-intentioned Soros, Putin, or Ahmadinejad should really be deciding what clothes you can wear, what food you can eat, what house you can live in, what job you can do, what you get paid, what information and/or entertainment you can access, and what you can believe. Is that REALLY what you support? Because that is what communism and/or Islamism ARE. The freedoms of America and the free choices allowable by capitalism are what George Soros (who self-admittedly owns the democratic party) has publicly declared war on, AS GOD (in his own mind). Is that who you stand with? Is that where your allegiance lies?

The threats, the murders, the lies, the regulations that end up destroying innocent people and controlling the public, the perjury, the fraud, the unconstitutional usurpation, the defiance of judicial orders and lawful subpoenas - that is all just the Obama/Soros regime’s version of “the end justifies the means”. If “God”/Soros decides that some innocent Mexicans have to be killed by drug cartels in order to disarm the American public, that’s not “murder” - that’s just “God” accomplishing his good goals through whatever means are necessary.

What I’ve been saying all along - in the eligibility issue as well as other issues - is that this lawlessness has no end. You might think that this particular “end” (whatever liberal goal you espouse) justifies these lawless means. But it’s all an illusion. The same people who will use gay marriage or healthy living as the reason for “light tyranny” (the crimes I mentioned above) at first will, in the end, use that tyranny to kill gays and ration food and healthcare to people just like you. Soros aligns himself with Ahmadinejad who publicly hangs gays and stones to death teenaged girls for being raped.

I dare you, Vikingkitties, to put this whole context in what you publish from here. Have the courage to engage in TRUE dialog rather than not actually HEARING what I’m saying. I’m torn between laughing at the “misunderstanding” of what I’ve said, and actually trying to engage with people who don’t seem very interested in listening anyway. It’s a free world; people can think what they want to think. But it’s sad when people are suckered by tyrants who are only using them to destroy them later.

I never heard of this store in my life. Where are they? Are they a small local owned or something?

Question - if each store became an operator owned franchise, would they be small enough to be exempt from commie care?

And could the corporate headquarters outsource everything to consulting firms - accounting, marketing, etc....so its just the ownership family and a secretary...so that the Hobby Lobby corporation itself is small enough to be exempt?

No, they are not small and locally owned. They have stores all over the place. Check it out.

I did. They said the place is like the old Ben Franklin that used to be around. We don’t have any near Annapolis MD. Anyway Ben Franklin closed probably because they could not keep up with new stores like Walmart. These folks need to find innovative ways to survive if they want to stay open in these competitive times especially with retail.

If Hobby Lobby does in fact become a martyr - and if they close, they definitely will - the entire social/political landscape of this country will change. It will almost be a “remember the Alamo” sort of thing. It will be crystal clear: The FedGov put a thriving company out of business due to Obamacare.

Bless your heart.

If Hobby Lobby closes because of obamacare, the cause will be hushed up. Besides, half the country has as its hobby getting stoned and watching television.

No, they are NOT at all like Ben Franklin stores. There are at least a couple in Maryland.

Yes, a lot of people are in that position. However, I believe that it would happen in an environment where more and more people are seeing the emeror has no clothes.

I’ll be blunt here: I’ve said since November of 2008 that Obama is either an amateur that will be utterly crucified by history, as is Hitler (but for slightly different reasons) or he is the beast of Revelation himself. If the former, the tide will turn against him at some point. If the latter, it will take the overt actions of God Himself to fix it.

And I think his re-election fits into both. The latter for obvious reasons and the former becuase he still has a lot to expose about himself, and it is being exposed. Interestingly, his poll numbers are actually declining significantly and we are just getting the first real impacts of Obamacare. Watch the fun of the next year.

Right now Texas sends Washington more than it receives. All we need to do - all the states need to do is starve the beast - don’t sed money to Washington. See how long they last without our supporting them.

The "Rule of Law?" Fairness?

That's the problem, friend. These people don't recognize the Magna Carta. It's an alien concept to them. They are a criminal enterprise with contempt for Christ and Christianity, exclusively.

The problem is the fed’s access to the banks. They will take the business’s money right out of the bank. A business of Hobby Lobby’s size cannot go on a “cash only” policy.

Even Walker Texas Ranger couldn’t stop that.

There are plans to get around that as well.
States can monetize precious metals,
and open their own “banks” that deal with these alternate currencies.

What would Texas Rangers have to do with Federal enforcement?

And they can't even win a World Series when they are one strike away.

Hobby Lobby is all over the country. They are terrific! I always feel like I’m entering Disney Land when I visit their store! They sell some of the most unique (and often Christian) household items, as well as hobby supplies. It’s really a great store.

There is a religious carve-out in ObamaCare because muslims do not participate in insurance, considering it a form of gambling.
