Ohio executes man who killed adult bookstore guard in 1994 crime spree

Gov. John Kasich denied Treesh clemency last week, following the recommendation of the state parole board, which ruled unanimously last month that the evidence showed Dupree was seated when shot and hadn't shown any sign of being a threat to Treesh. The board also said Treesh's decision to shoot a clerk in the face as he left the store suggests Treesh's "murderous intent" when coming to the store.

Treesh and his co-defendant "gratuitously brutalized, humiliated and killed innocent people, most of whom, like Dupree, posed no real or perceived threat to them," the board said.

Prosecutors say Treesh and the co-defendant robbed banks and businesses, committed sexual assaults, stole cars, committed carjackings and shot someone to death in a Michigan robbery during a spree that also took them to Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Treesh's attorneys described him as a cocaine addict who was high during the robbery and is deeply sorry for what happened.

At least give him a good snort before he rides the
lightening, or do they do that there?

I'll bet he's a lot more sorry now.

The SCOTUS, by following foreign law and UN precedent, keeps narrowing the death penalty to the point where for all intents and purposes it is gonna be scrapped.

We just had a guy convicted here of being the ringleader of the gruesome murder of a mentally handicapped girl. His lawyers are claiming his IQ is too low to be executed per that stupid case of a couple of years ago. Will probably rot in our prisons for the next 40+ years while the courts argue about just how low his IQ really is.

Well GOOD RIDDANCE to this piece of filth. Second worthless pile of excrement to die this week.

"It wasn't me - it was the drugs/booze/porn/video game/abuse/gun/etc." Mr. Treesh, I hope you enjoy your stay in Hell.

The truly criminal part of this is that he is just now being executed for a crime committed in 1994..... In a sane world, he would have remanded to the Final Judge by 1995 at the latest...

Been easier to shoot him in court after he’s found guilty. Save a lot of money.

Between being immune to death penalty, and becoming eligible for disability $$$, there is a big incentive for underclass boys to try to score as low as possible on IQ tests. And school systems have an incentive to help them score low, so they qualify for special education $$$.

With or without incentive these loser punks would score low on an IQ test.

Unless the test was on cRap music or drugs they don't stand a chance.
