Wearing bulletproof vests and carrying 40-caliber Glock pistols, nine California Justice Department agents assembled outside a ranch-style house in a suburb east of Los Angeles. They were looking for a gun owner who'd recently spent two days in a mental hospital.
They knocked on the door and asked to come in. About 45 minutes later, they came away peacefully with three firearms.
California is the only state that tracks and disarms people with legally registered guns who have lost the right to own them, according to Attorney General Kamala Harris. Almost 20,000 gun owners in the state are prohibited from possessing firearms, including convicted felons, those under a domestic violence restraining order or deemed mentally unstable.

They would love to declare us all insane and deal with us similarly. Screwing your buddy in the keister is perfectly sane you see but speaking out against your government is antisocial behavior and that’s crazy.

When the libtards in this state enacted the Domestic Violence Restraining Law any alleged violent act reported to the police via 911, by your girlfriend, wife or anyone living with you immediately brings a five year suspension of your right to keep and bear arms.
I recall when the law was passed it came to light that about 25% of the LEO’s would have to be given desk jobs due to domestic violence accusations... oops! Of course an amendment waiving LEO’s soon followed.
That’s basically what it is. Either never resist, and the government will eventually strip everybody of rights or push it so somebody does something unfortunate, than the government uses it as a pre-text to strip rights.
It sure feels that way.
To be fair, some of these guys have lots of time into their careers and don’t want to relinquish benefits.

I gather prepping is only for those whom the state has deemed mentally competent. No doubt the ranks of those whom the state deems unsuitable will grow by leaps & bounds.
