We come before You today in obedience to Your command to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. May peace be within her walls and prosperity withing her palaces. May Your highest blessings be upon the land of Israel and her people, and may Your tremendous wisdom inhabit the minds and hearts of her leaders. Lord, as our President travels to Israel this week, possibly seeking the division of Jerusalem, we ask that Your supernatural wisdom and courage would guide the hearts of all those at the decision table. Help America to always defend Israel and support her in prayer, no matter what the cost. Father, we owe a debt of gratitude to the Jewish people, and we pray that every good and perfect gift would be showered upon them.
Father, we ask You to be the strength of our military men and women. May their help come from You, Lord, Who made heaven and earth. Be their keepers, their shade upon their right hands. Keep them from all evil as You preserve their souls. Lord, give them hope for their future, for without the hope that rests upon Jesus Christ, they are lost. Help them to be confident in Your presence in their lives all of their days.
Lord, again we repent for the sins of our nation. We have many battles ahead of us, Father, and we need Your strength. The battle belongs to You, but You have asked us to be a part of Your army. Help us, Lord, to report for duty to You, our Leader, our King. Help us to be obedient to You and to be confident in the victory that You have already won on our behalf. We love You, Lord. May Your peace be upon us even as we trust in You. In the powerful Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Four-year-old Eliana was helping her mom pick up some of Elianas things before bedtime. When Mommy told her to put away the clothes on her bed, Eliana hit her limit. She turned around, put her little hands on her hips, and said, I cant do everything!
Do you ever feel that way with the tasks God has called you to do? Its easy to feel overwhelmed with church involvement, witnessing, and raising a family. We might sigh in exasperation and pray, Lord, I cant do everything!
Yet Gods instructions indicate that His expectations are not overwhelming. For instance, as we deal with others, He gives us this qualifier: As much as depends on you, live peaceably with all (Rom. 12:18). God understands our limitations. Or this: Whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord (Col. 3:23). Hes not asking for perfection that we might impress people, but simply to honor Him with the work we do. And one more: Let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another (Gal. 6:4). We are not doing our work as a competition with others, but simply to carry our own load.
In wisdom, God has equipped us to do just what He wants us to doand thats certainly not everything!
