It's called "de-extinction," the act of bringing an extinct animal back to life by reassembling its genome and injecting it into embryonic cells. After that, it's the simple matter of finding a surrogate.

It would be fun to have most of these back, although I have my doubts about the saber tooth tiger. And the dodo — they’d all vote democrat, and we have too much of that already.
I welcome bringing back the Dodo bird! I’ve heard they are delicious! That alone should ensure their survival if they are always raised on farms. You don’t ever hear of chickens, pigs, or cows going extinct.

Let’s all come together to “de-extinction,” the act of common sense. Common sense has died only to be replaced by victimhood. Please reject any substitions for common sense. Pay your bills too; BTW.
I’m for bringing most of the creatures back, as long as there is habitat where they can live without upsetting the ecosystem-Africa could likely accomodate smilodon and a bunch of the birds, the Tasmanian tiger could live where it originally did if it isn’t hunted, etc-but the Ice Age is over for now-where will they put the Mastodons and Mammoths-Siberia?
I’m okay with bringing back the mammoths and the Neanderthals too, but maybe in separate places...

Definitely in favor of bringing back the auroch (extinct giant cattle). They were about 6 feet at the shoulder. Think of how much meat was on those cows!

They aren’t able to clone the Neanderthals or Denisovians(sp?)-the DNA is too old and scarce. We’ve likely absorbed them as a race long ago anyway. Maybe the people in Siberia could become mammoth and mastodon herders? Got to be more fun than herding reindeer...
Yum-some ranchers here have those big, furry Galloway cattle-so the aurochs should fit right in...
I’m all for bringing back from extinction many of the founders. Shouldn’t be too difficult, instead of millions... to having to go back a mere 250 or so years.
In exchange for bringing them back, I’d put them to work as well. And pay them for it.
I’d house them in Washington D.C. mostly, but a good smattering of them elsewhere... could use a good handful here in Boston.
