I think we should refrain from discussing Civil War talk until nullification has failed to restore our rights.

Representative Bill Chumley said that he will never give up the fight to restore states rights and to keep the federal government from consolidating all power over all aspects of life into Washington D.C The 17th Amendment removed State agency from the federal government. For all practical purposes, the 17th repealed the 10th Amendment. To restore the 10th, and any possibility of restoring our republic, repeal the 17th.

I guess the band of Southern States that refuse to expand Medicare can join hands with S Carolina and we will have a symbolic if not real repeat of some aspect of the Civil War. ( exceping Florida which is made up of northerners anyway, but it could get lonely down there being isolated by the bordering states )

I think we should refrain from discussing Civil War talk until nullification has failed to restore our rights.
Why?
Does the history of our very own Revolution and our founding fathers support that approach, or were they discussing amongst themselves and planning for war if every available means of resolving the issue peaceably failed?
I think history proves that they were working out the plans for rebellion and responding with force to force all along the way to the opening shots at Lexington and Concord.
They were prepared.

That’s no way to befriend Carolinians. We were right the first time. Each instance had the Federal government overstepping their authority. How can you justify your statement that we have a right to secede now, but didn’t then?

i think you ought to calm down. since we’re all in the mood here to tell others what we think.

"How can you justify your statement that we have a right to secede now, but didnt then?"Actually, the right to secede was ratified when West Virginia was allowed to remain a separate state from the one it seceded from, Virginia.

Good. The first successful state defense against Obamacare will show other states the way.
