Liberty won.....for once.
Now lets roll back many of the Unconstitutional gun laws.

I thought this was only an amendment to the gun control bill that got defeated, not the bill itself.

The Bill of Rights and Freedom are still alive in America!!! The DemocRATS’ obituary saying otherwise was a bit premature. America lives.

I don’t understand why the bill needed 60 votes to pass. Was it arranged differently? 60 votes is the normal cloture vote.

So, in Montana, Tester was just re-elected so he votes like a good little Democrat for the bill. Baucus has an election coming up, so he has to vote no. Tester, he’s for the Second Amendment unless the Democrat party tells him different. What a worm.

His Arrogance even stated in the press conference that there was a provision in the bill to outlaw gun registration. What wasn’t said was more important ... Eric the Corrupt is the AG and His Arrogance instructs him on which laws to enforce ... remember the Defense of Marriage? Any deal with him should be considered a deal with Satan.

RE :
The Senate delivered a devastating blow to President Obamas agenda Wednesday by defeating a bipartisan proposal that would have expanded background checks on gun sales. It failed by a vote of 54-46, short of the necessary 60. A handful of Democrats voted against it and only four Republicans supported the measure backed by the White House. The vote effectively halted gun control in the upper chamber.Devastating blow to President Obamas agenda PING!
Couldn't happen to a nicer guy :)

I hope that Toomey's partying on Manchin's love boat was worth all the bridges he burned with Conservatives in Pennsylvania.
He's done.

...Democratic leaders, who had deemed background checks the sweet spot of gun control, will have to overhaul the pending gun control bill to give it a chance of passing the Senate in diminished form.No "overhaul" will even be attempted. Now that this issue is virtually off the table, Obama and his minions will use the defeat for bashing Republicans and move on to the next (immigration) issue. Obama wanted the issue, not a solution - just like immigration. This whole "get it done now" by Obama and other dems is nothing but kabuki theater which will be used to attack Republican next election cycle.
