"Campus police lockdown university for 3-hours after administrators mistake umbrella for rifle": A metaphor for 21st century US "higher" education.
These are the people who are "educating" America's children.
Weep for America!

Wouldn’t you expect that on a campus like NC A&T they would KNOW what a gun looks like?

Last week the Unv. of Rhode Island got locked down because some next door kids were playing with a nerf pistol. Liberal insanity at it’s finest.

If someone aims a gun at me for carrying an umbrella, the lawsuits begin the next day.

Who gives them the authority to lockdown anything? How can they hold adults...on a college campus against their will?
We are becoming waaayyy too accepting of this arbitrary behavior.

Microsoft today was awarded a $100 Million dollar Contract from the Dept. of Homeland Security for implementation of its revolutionary UPYOURS [Umbrella Pattern-Yielding Observational Ultra Recognition System] at all major universities and colleges to identify and prevent campus attacks by umbrella-wielding terorists.

Campus police identified the weapon as an AK-47 and will be adding its image to their existing identification guide:
