...

Forsyth County investigators say 48-year-old Scott Biumi, a sergeant with the DeKalb County Police Department, got upset with 18-year-old Ryan Mash, who is a senior at Lambert High School. They say Biumi got out of his car and the two exchanged words before Biumi drew his weapon and pointed it at Mash.

"I'm just like, 'I don't want to die. I'm sorry, sir. I didn't mean for any of this to happen,'" Mash recalled.

...

Mash said Biumi told him, "You don't want to mess with me," before putting his hand on Mash's shoulder and pulling out his gun. Two of Mash's friends were in the pick-up with him, and they say they couldn't believe what was happening.

Would have been a shame if some CCW person saw that and shot the idiot,out-of-control cop.

This mothereffer needs to fired and prosecuted and convicted and imprisoned for threatening the life of a citizen.

Dekalb County...that says it all.

He may actually be in trouble. I think departmental procedures call for killing someone who is ahead of you in line, not merely threatening them. Anyway he made a big mistake that cops don't usually make, and that's leaving someone alive to contradict his story. I'm surprised the kid didn't "make a threatening gesture."

This cop is an accident waiting to happen. I’m betting if this was his reaction to his fast food taking too long that a little digging into his police record and maybe even his domestic record, will show an abusive and dangerous personality.

“Never happened; we’re still investigating the kid’s BS charge. It was a modified pop tart”, DeKalb DA to local media.

Gee... I guess we don’t need to own a gun with police like this.... I know a lot of good police and I know some who love using their authority to show what a bad as$ they are.

My demands would be: written apology hand delivered by the chief of police, lump sum settlement of 2-3 million, firing of the officer.
not “sorry sir..”

I’m all for an apology but I’m not a big fan of “someone scared me so I need the taxpayers to make me rich.”

Take your “lump sum” and stick it where the sun don’t shine.

Most of us want to support the LEOs, but this type of incident tends to tarnish the whole force. Pulling this stunt in Texas could really escalate into a self defense shoot out!!

Gosh, and Joe Biden asked why we would need a gun to protect ourselves from the government and “imagined” tyranny.

If I had a CC permit I would have certainly replied in kind.

" I guess we don’t need to own a gun with police like this.... "

Yes. As a raving "Liberal" from a raving "Liberal" enclave once said to me, concerning gun ownership for personal protection: "Oh! I think such things are best left to the POLICE!"

Money settlements have their place. An apology from a government official is worthless. Pay the guy a couple 100k and blame the official.

It was probably a bad day for the officer. He got up and his wife handed him some crap an he as in a bad mood,.

Most of the time that is handled by giving out a few more speeding tickets than usual.

Coming from a LONG LINE of LEO’s, this only makes all of us look bad due to one idiot. I have no sympathy for the soon to be “ex-sargent”.
