All agencies on site - does not correlate with just a robber, to me.
Any police officer down will bring in every cop in the area.
How is this possible? Mass. has some of the strictest gun control laws in the country.
Please let it be the marathon perps. Harvard and MIT campuses would have been an ideal place in which to blend — until photos released today.
Prayers for the people of Boston, IF the death of the MIT officer is related to the marathon bombers, there is a very dangerous and very desperate armed young man on the loose on the streets of Boston.
Confirmed? Just wondering, Lots of prayers if the worst outcome for the cop is true, the MIT cop’s family/friends/fellow officers(and the greater LEO family) will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Yup....just watched his family members going into the hospital on local TV. Very sad.

Frankly this is what I despise about the news and our thinking we have a right to know everything right away. If this is true, the news is probably out there before the man’s family has had confirmation of who it is and his condition. And every family of every copy @ MIT is living a nightmare.
I have a friend whose dad was killed in an auto accident and her mother found out watching TV news. Very traumatic for the family, as if the injury or death isn’t enough.
Twitter is blowing up with this thing... 2 Middle Eastern suspects, gunfights, a car jacking, a suspicious package... sounds like these are the bombers.

My stepfather found out my stepbrother died (he was a well known LA musician in the 1980’s) on the news. He had a heart attack when he saw them carrying out the body and heard his sons name.
Just reported shots fired in Watertown on the Cambridge police county scanner. 4 shots fired, suspect attempting to flee in vehicle.
not all at once, no. And it is heating up...shots fire and an explosion just came across Cambridge PD, Fire, EMS scanner.
Hopefully they had a premature ‘splosion and met their maker. Save some bullets.
