We used to be, but not anymore! Conservatives now control the Governorship, Senate, and House in the state of KS. We had a RINO purge in the 2012 primary and won big in November as well! Prior to 2012, the Senate was controlled by Democrats and RINOs who worked together to kill conservative legislation. We also have Kris Kobach as our Secretary of State.

Tried in two states I know of, SD and WY. Failed in both primarily due to the felony portion of the bill. The Legislatures were both put off by that particular portion. Unfortunately, that is the only thing that will add the appropriate teeth to the bill.

We are talking about what the Founder's referred to as an "inalienable" right. The 2nd Amendment is a restriction on the government and doesn't give the citizenry anything. We need to stop referring to it as a Constitutional right because the Constitution can be amended and opens up an argument for the left.
My guess is that the courts will throw out that part. However the state (ie police) is under no obligation to assist in enforcement of Federal laws. They can pass a law that states that.
Just to be the Devils-U-know-what, if the courts allowed this then Dem states could to this to the Federal partial birth abortion ban law.

Exactly- We’re sunk as a nation- reid correctly said somehting liek hte following today that thsoe opposing it will ‘have to aqueisce at soem point due to shifting view in America’ and that’s just how our constituional rights WILL be violated- because the majority WILL be branwashed into thinking our rights are NOT rights and shoudl be doen away with ‘for the safety of the masses’
