According to Rosental, excavation of the site has potential for uncovering a complete castle from the Judean kings' period, for the first time ever. "We appear to have a complete castle here," he said. "Those who came after it did not know of its existence." The details found inside could be "amazing."

The IAA confirmed to Makor Rishon that the find is an important one that appears to date to the period of Judean kings. However, the IAA added, the subject is "sensitive" and "requires serious and responsible handing."

The churches I refer to were built in the 100 years after the conquest. Last week, the local McDonalds was Razed........ the site is a now muddy field. It was graded and compacted.

Something new is coming. A more modern McDonalds for sure.

They did that a couple of years ago at 45th & Telegraph in Oakland, CA: razed the old McD's and built a new one in its place.

hmm, interesting ~ without any Jordanian cousins I wouldn't know about that, but the family used to own that vast array of ancient ceremonial menhirs in Brittany ~ at least for 1000 years and probably more.

Once the French moved in they began using them as a source of rip rap for rivers as well as paving stones.
