Todd Akin: I’d Take Back Comments on ‘Legitimate Rape’

Former Rep. Todd Akin said he regrets the comments he made about “legitimate rape” which derailed his Missouri bid for U.S. Senate last year.

In an interview with KDSK-TV on Thursday, the 65-year-old was asked whether he would take back the controversial comments. “Of course I would,” the former congressman replied. “I’ve relived them too many times. But that is not reality.” …

The democrats are still squealing for attention about Michigan RNC Committeeman, Dave Agema’s comments on gays. The most disgusting thing is the fact that it was “moderate” republicans who ran to the media with it.

Fortunately Agema isn’t backing down and the issue is dead.

The people squealing about conservatives needing to learn to keep their mouths shut need to learn to quit kissing the media’s ass or just become democrats.

“Moderates” are nothing but lying, manipulative, bottom feeding scum. The GOP has been moderated into a coma and they’re pinching the feeding tube as their friends on the left goose step into full on fascism.

“There was a very, very strong grassroots element saying don’t you give in to those party bosses,” Akin told KSDK.

Still Akin hinted that he might consider a repeat run. “Oh no, I don’t rule anything out,” he said in the interview. “I consider it a bright new future and I’m interested to see what the possibilities are.”
***************************************************************
The only “grassroots elements” saying to stay in were those from the Democrat Underground.

The dumb ass Akin might not rule out a repeat run, but he has absolutely ZERO chance of going anywhere in elected office EVER AGAIN. He likely would have had a some chance had he done the wise (and noble) thing and bowed out so someone such as Sarah Steelman (Sarah Palin’s endorsed candidate in the primary) could have come in and defeated Claire McCaskill readily. The only reason Akin won the primary was because of the many Democrats who came in and supported the numb skull.

The only “grassroots element” on the Republican side urging him to stay in were his wife and son (there’s no nobility among either of that pair). I hope the son realizes now that not only has the selfish decision to stay in destroyed any possible political future for his father but any possible future for the self-centered son was also destroyed.

I wish ALL the Akin family would simply go away now and actually work for a living.

One reason could be because she wasn’t running for office.

Akin was destroyed by Rove and the weak-kneed conservatives who listened to him whining, not just by the liberal media.

Sorry, Akin self-destructed—it’s as simple as that.

They sat right there pimping Scott Brown who was quick to attack Akin despite Brown taking the opportunity to announce his support for abortion and gay marriage.

Those people are democrats without the courage to admit it.

He SHOULD have known better. Don’t know why people are defending him. If the GOP is to regain the White House and Senate, we don’t need idiots like Akin. Unlike the dems, we hold our own accountable. (or at least we used to).

Of course. Too bad you did not hand the baton to another Republican that could have taken out the democrat witch. You got your tax funded pension, enjoy it.

Akin self-destructed—it’s as simple as that.

So did Murdoch here in Indiana. Now we got Obama Joe for SIX WHOLE YEARS.

Somehow these Tea Party guys HAVE to go to some kind of boot camp to teach them how to deal with the media.

"Situational ethics?" Akin saw the situation, and acted like an idiot. I can say this because I'm in Illinois, and don't even know or care who Brown is. I do know that I was subjected to a constant barrage of Dem attack ads in my district that attacked Akin.

So the Dems made him national, so what? If he simply had an answer to the question . . . .

I don’t remember which pundit wrote it, but he (or she) said something along the lines of: “Republicans have been taking ‘gotcha’ questions about abortion from the media for decades. And he flubbed it.”

You got dat right.

Thanks, Todd, for giving the MSM a chance to put Republicans and “legitimate rape” back on the front page again.

Akin makes a gaff about “legitimate rape” and no amount of penance will redeem him.

Demonicrats defend “legitimate murder” of the born and unborn, and the media sweeps it under the rug.

Yup.

Yet Romney, who has years of comments and LAWS that put this guy to shame got a pass and lotsa conservative votes. And STILL gets a pass dispite being what he is.

Read until it clicks. Because it is the documented truth.
