Slut-shaming is at the root of all problems. Well, it seems to be at the root of a lot of mine, anyway. Anyone who’s ever been slut-shamed understands when I say that it can alter your sexual health decisions, erode your self-esteem, and change how you interact with both sexes. And for anyone who’s not familiar with the term, “slut-shaming” is the act of declaring someone a slut (or a whore or any other similar word, or even promiscuous, for that matter) based upon perceived sexual behavior: the clothing someone wears, the way they communicate with potential partners, the people they date, the number of partners they have (or haven’t) had, and the type of sex they enjoy.
That slut-shaming intersects with and hurts efforts to prevent sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) might surprise you. Slut-shaming, the sex-negative way of describing someone’s sexual activities, combines social repercussions, fear, and—as its name suggests—shame in an attempt to control the actions of those who are sexually active. The impact is, generally speaking, an increase in STD transmission rates.
The following spring, I contracted genital herpes.
It took me years to overcome that stigma
When young men and women are made to feel shameful about their sexual behavior, they naturally become reticent to seek advice once they’ve become sexually active. That humiliation also means they less equipped to have the conversations people need to have to have safer sex... less likely to talk to partners about using protection, how many partners they’ve had, when and for what they’ve been tested, and what they want to incorporate into their safer-sex regimen.
I also want to point out that having been slut-shamed was not the sole reason I contracted genital herpes

Of course she's wrong. The reason - the only reason - that she got genital herpes was because she had sex with someone who had genital herpes.

Dude, that was her point. Science is hard; therefore she LIKES science. And wood working. And hard subjects in general. She studies a hard subject with a different study partner every night!

I notice that Leftists are trying to take away appropiate negative descriptions to slutty behavior. Imo, the goal is to normalize the behavior and encourage more of it.

And the only reason the person who gave her herpes had herpes was because they slept with someone else who had herpes...
People who think it’s morally wrong to sleep around are the problem. If only we’d quit pointing out the simple truths, like Biblical morality is wise from a practical as well as a spiritual standpoint, immoral people would be far happier and healthier. This is like the argument that we make homosexuals unhappy, like we’re haters if we don’t think it’s OK for two guys to play in orifices designed, by nature, to excrete waste.

I think they want the same goals as Satan. Seriously. Satan knows he’s doomed. He can’t change that, but he can still take pleasure in destroying something, US, that God loves. The same thing goes for corrupt sinners. They want to #1 justify their own actions and #2 take as many other people as possible with them. I think they think it will make them feel better if everyone does what they do. That’s why they despise and ridicule anyone with standards.
