The Supreme Court may have ruled ObamaCare is constitutional, but implementing the controversial federal law would become a crime in South Carolina if a bill passed by the state House becomes law.
The bill, approved Wednesday by a vote of 65-39, declares President Obama's signature legislation "null and void." Whereas the law that Obama pushed and Congress passed is known as the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, South Carolina's law would be known as the Freedom of Health Care Protection Act.
It would prohibit state officials and employees from "enforcing or attempting to enforce such unconstitutional laws" and "establish criminal penalties and civil liability" for those who engage in activities that aid the implementation of ObamaCare.

Kansas as well...
I like the Alabama law the best, though - “ALL federal gun control laws are unconstitutional”
The States were there to protect their resident — good for them...since voter feaud allowed this train wreck into officer twice - just like Clinton in the 90’s - now it’s up to the states to frend off the federal govt....might have to move there if Indiana doesn’t follow suit soon...
This is excellent news!
I need to proof read my posts better....
Yes....I see that I need to emigrate to SC or Bama...LOL
While the FL governor (who built his campaign using his non profit to attack ObamaCare) caved into Obama.... some other States have told him to bleep.
Obama, Holder, the Dems, do not have enough resources to go after every state
Stand for states’ rights and individual rights. Stop the federal tyranny!
Now shut down abortion therein.
The primacy of federal law over that of the states is a well established principle over the last 148 years. The enactment of nullification laws by state legislatures is nothing more than pandering to the local voters. Yet the message still needs to be sent loud and clear to DC, symbolic as it may be.
They need to fire on Fort Sumter... AGAIN!

Thank you SC, I believe you might lead the nation in the second secession, like you did the first time. And this time, the South will win.
148 years of deviation from original intent does not make the principle a correct one.
* Our property insurance rates are MUCH lower as are our property taxes.
* Cost of gasoline is less.
* SC has a state income tax; FL does not.
I have met many people here who were retiring to FL from the Northeast, stopped in SC overnight on their way to FL and made their stop permanent :)

” Is something happening here?”
Yep. Some Americans are rediscovering their revolutionary roots, while others are holding a pity party and a surrender monkey parade, like here:

Allow me help you out in historical perspective, buddy:
The primacy of King George’s law over that of the colonies is a well established Tory principle over the last 100 years. The enactment of nullification laws by the colonies is nothing more than pandering to the local colonists. Yet the message still needs to be sent loud and clear to King George, symbolic as it may be.
Need a good graphic for that. Pinging a guy who does some nice work

Yes, I like his images. Ping me when an image comes online. Thanks.
South Carolina. First to succeed. Last to surrender.
Love my state!
