Two new polls have Gabriel Gomez, the Republican candidate for a Senate seat out of Massachusetts, within single-digits of the front-running Democratic candidate -- just days after the Tuesday primaries.

Not that difficult. You don’t accomplish anything by voting for a liberal Democrat over a liberal Republican.

PPP poll has Markey up by only 44% to 40%.

Somewhat surprising but Markey is a lackluster d-bag.

Markey calls the RINO Gomez “Tea Party”, and also oxymoronically says Gomez wants to take us back to the Bush era. Which is it Markey? ;p

What's wrong with that, 4.5% unemployment, $1.87 gasoline, a record breaking economic boom.

Markey is a giant piece of sh*t. This guy has the potential to be more of a communist than Bernie Sanders or High cheek-bones Warren. In the Democrap party, its a lot different than in the Republican party. The moderate Democraps are subservient and kind to the far left Democraps, but this a$$hole is too extreme even for his own colleagues, like Mark Begich who recently scolded him.

I want Gomez to win just to piss off Markey. He’ll be a Democrat in the senate, but who cares. He might vote with conservatives once every millennium.

Begich is trying to win reelection in Alaska. He’ll have no trouble making out with Markey behind closed doors.

Speaking of our good pal, Mark Begich, I recently visited an exploratory website for Mead Treadwell, the Lt. Governor who is considering a run against Begich. I think he might have a good shot, and he’s as conservative as we’ll find unless Joe Miller or Sarah Palin decide to give it a shot. Begich is a weasel, elected on a fluke. His seat would add nicely toward our goal of six.

>> He is a former US Navy Seal.

And McCain is a war hero...

The guy is a conservative Democrat, and that’s certainly better than the Leftist he might replace.

If both run I’d favor Treadwell over Miller. I think he’s a stronger candidate.

Begich should be target #1, we gotta get that seat back.

He's a scumbag who, guaranteed, will switch parties in short order.
He is Lincoln Chafee, Jim Jeffords, and Arlen Specter all rolled up in one big square of toilet tissue.

I agree. If we can get that seat along with Hagan’s in NC, I think we’ll just about do it with this path, (AK, AR, LA, NC, SD, WV). Nail down those, and Michigan and Iowa will only have to serve as backups.

Begich defeated a candidate who was indicted on corruption charges by a measly 1%. Cleaning his clock should not be difficult, as long as we don’t have Rove trashing the conservative candidate all over Fox. I’m with you about Miller. Treadwell would be preferable.

Gomez could fire back on that... "Yeah, I want to take us back to when people had JOBS."

Gomez is an obvious turd, but he has my vote!

Any candidate with any prospect of defeating my congresscritter Ed Malarkey's promotion to the Senate has my vote.

I understand Gomez is pro-amnesty, pro-homo marriage, and pro-gun control. No way in hell would I ever give such a person my vote. Hope the creep loses.

Congressman (since 1976) Ed Markey, currently representing the Massholes of MA-05, welcomes your support in his Senate bid.

Agree...worse to have a despicable turncoat RINO than have the Dem in the seat... they love to use the RINO’s to claim “bi-partisan” status on their socialist legislation, because they know it weakens the conservative base.

I doubt it's accurate. It's a Senate race in ultra-DemonRAT Massachuttes, plus the little RINO turd is hardly reminiscent of Scott Brown and Markley is no Coakley. This is probably like those silly "polls" claiming Linda McMahon was competitive in 2012 for some unfathomable reason, causing the GOP to waste resources in that state, and then she ended up losing by the same double digit margin she lost by in 2010 (12 points)

That being said, if he's still within a 4 point margin on election day, I'd give the poll the benefit of the doubt and hold my nose for the weasely RINO.

>> Markey calls the RINO Gomez “Tea Party”, and also oxymoronically says Gomez wants to take us back to the Bush era. Which is it Markey? <<

These are moonbats you're talking about. They also think Joe Lieberman is a "Bush clone" despite the fact he agrees with Obama on 95% of bills. They think Rick Santorum would somehow simultaneously "start a war with Iran" and "create a theocracy run by the Catholic Church" They think we all worship Karl Rove when every conservative despises him. There is no sanity in the moonbat mind. To them, Bush probably IS the Tea Party and created it behind the scenes. I don't to speculate any further, trying to understand the moonbat mindset is like trying to decipher a message in Charlie Manson's rantings. It's not good for your health.

This won't happen. This is in Mass. where they vote for liberals. A Seal liberal won't cut it.

Informative thread. Thanks to all posters. The only positive here appears to be a potential to...vote ALL incumbents out ALL of the time. DEFUND/DISMANTLE incumbent/socialist collectives. Run, Gomez, run. Win, Gomez, win.

Has-been Markey has been around too long BUMP!

Having Markey in the US Senate for life would be very, very, VERY bad.

Even on the Left, there are gradations of bad. Markey is one of the worst. He actually ran ads in the primary proclaiming that he would keep late-term abortions available.

Do some research. I don't know anything about Gomez except that, at some point in his life, he was motivated to serve his country. That puts him miles and miles ahead of the disgusting Markey.

This is the people’s republic of Massachusetts. They are not going to elect a conservative under any circumstances. You gladly take a guy like Gomez just to get his vote to organize the Senate for the R’s. It’s a no brainer.
