CLEVELAND (AP) The woman's voice was frantic and breathless, and she was choking back tears. "Help me. I'm Amanda Berry," she told a 911 dispatcher. "I've been kidnapped and I've been missing for 10 years and I'm, I'm here, I'm free now."
Those words led police to a house near downtown Cleveland where Berry and two other women who vanished a decade ago were found Monday, elating family members and friends who had longed to see them again.
Authorities later arrested three brothers. They released no names and gave no information about them or what charges they might face.
City officials have scheduled a news conference for Tuesday morning.
Police Chief Michael McGrath said he thinks Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight were tied up at the house and held there since they were in their teens or early 20s.
A 6-year-old also was found in the home, but police didn't disclose the child's identity or relationship to anyone in the home. The women appeared to be in good health and were taken to a hospital to be evaluated and be reunited with relatives.
The women's escape and rescue began with a frenzied cry for help.
A neighbor, Charles Ramsey, told WEWS-TV he heard screaming Monday and saw Berry, whom he didn't recognize, at a door that would open only enough to fit a hand through. He said she was trying desperately to get outside and pleaded for help to reach police.

Let me guess: sex slaves to at least one of the men.
The question is....how many more across the US? Two thousand? Eight thousand? You just don’t know.
They each needed a wife. Just shoot them.
They are touting the 911 call?
Amanda was lucky they had a car available to investigate...
My friends father was in the DOJ under Bush.
Over a few drinks he told me some stories that made me make sure my wife has a gun.
You are guessing way to low.
EVIL BEYOND BELIEF!
Having to deal with for the rest of her life..Unfortunately check.
It’s like a movie plot. In my daily existence these are things that don’t even cross my mind. Humans really are pieces o crap.
No kidding. That dispatcher’s attitude was pathetic. I understand that maybe they are just suppose to follow some kind of protocol, but she could have shown a little compassion. That poor girl (woman now) needed some kindness and reassurance and that dispatcher was cold to her.
So far, this puzzle just doesn’t come together. There are too many missing pieces.
Perps do life plus Ten in a metal box...Check!
He’ll talk and talk about it to avoid Bengazi...Bengazi has now vanished.
My only hope is these are illegal immigrants.
Being a dispatcher isn’t the easiest job in the world either.
One thing not needed in dispatching is emotion.
The first thing my wife said when I read this to her was, 3 young girls, ten years, how many children came from this and where are they now? I pray for the jury that has to handle this case.
did you hear how retarded the dispatchers reacted to the victim and the rescuer?
I understand that, but to tell the woman that they would send the police when a car became available is just wrong. She should have been a little more reassuring.
I have a feeling the kidnappers are Muslims.
Seizing women to restock or start a clan has happened throughout human history. the “Rape of the Sabine women” is a celebrated story in Roman history. It tells the story how the Sabine women were seized, became the concubines of those men, and their descendants were the Romans. Criminal gangs and pirates often seized women and their hideouts or lairs sometimes evolved as towns or ports. It has happened and will happen again. China has a big problem. Due to a one child policy and gender preference abortion there is a big shortage of women. Millions of Chinese males need wives. Hopefully they will obtain them peacefully or learn to do without.
When they refused to release the name, I knew he was......Hispanic. Immigration Bill is upcoming.
