Six months after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, just 25 percent of Americans said Islam is more likely to encourage violence than other religions. That number has climbed to 42 percent, according to a new poll released Tuesday by the nonpartisan Pew Research Center.
The survey, conducted after the Boston bombings, found that opinions have not changed much as a result of those attacks. In March, 40 percent of Americans said Islam is more violent, 42 percent disagreed.

Please someone tell me any other present day religion that is violent -— NOT just violent people who also claim some religion.
60% of people are not just low information, they are plain stupid.
Those same 40% also said that homosexuals are NOT less likely to bear children than other “orientations”.
That same 40% also said that Obama was the greatest president ever.

Bush was a tool for overstating the ROP angle. The intention to prevent random acts of reciprocity was admirable, but the chronic endeavor was ultimately condescending and counterproductive. Islam is not a ROP, it’s about conformance to the consequence of suffering and death.
There’s a reason for Christianity. Embrace it.
