I kind of felt the same way, but did you notice that the AK 47 is shown firing full auto? That's no mistake. That's a deliberate attempt to make viewers of the ad think Gomez wants to allow anyone to own a machine gun.

Case in point: When Congresswoman Gabby Giffords and several others were shot by a deranged gunman, the left immediately blamed Sarah Palin for the shooting. They pointed to an ad which said Gifford's congressional seat was being "targeted" as one the Republicans could win.
