A mother says she's upset over the punishment her 6-year-old kindergartener is facing after the Old Mill Pond Elementary School student boarded a school bus last week with a Lego plastic gun about the size of a quarter.
"I think they overreacted, totally," Mieke Crane told abc40.
The tiny toy gun is the type that snaps into the hands of a Lego figure, and another student saw it and yelled to the driver. Both Crane's son and the student who alerted the driver had to apologize, according to Crane, who says her son also must serve detention on Tuesday. Palmer school officials couldn't immediately be reached for comment.

Absurd
And thus, another innocent child is brainwashed into thinking all "guns" are evil, allowing some future iteration of the government to "protect us" by taking away our guns.
Was it loaded?
WTF??? Kindergarteners had to apologize? For what? This is insanity. Why did they need to apologize to anyone? Its Orwellian.
But a quarter-sized condom would have been just fine.

I pity the kids whose parents condemn them to child abuse at the hands of “educators”.
Parents cant save the schools, but they can save their own children.
Wait— was it loaded with tiny Lego bullets or a **GASP** tiny Lego magazine?
Good grief.
I swear there needs to be a cartoon character caped crusade who makes it his business to haunt and embarrass each official associated with these types of reports and discipline.
Don’t send him back there next year and let them know why.
What we need to do is change the way in which people think about guns, especially young people, and make it something thats not cool, that its not acceptable, its not hip to carry a gun anymore, in the way in which we changed our attitudes about cigarettes.
One thing that I think is clear with young people and with adults as well is that we just have to be repetitive about this. Its not enough to simply have a catchy ad on a Monday and then do it every Monday. We need to do this every day of the week and just really brainwash people into thinking about guns in a vastly different way.
It's time to take your kids out of public indoctrination centers.
Now, back to your regularly scheduled thread.
If he had brought the tiny Lego cop that came with the tiny Lego gun would that have been ok? Then the 2" weapon would have been safely in the possession of a trained 2" officer.
This nation has gone mad.
Exactly. When these kids go through all 12 grades, turn 18, and vote, they will not vote for pro-2A candidates.
This is massive brainwashing.
It seems that the anti-freedom brainwashing process is nearing "end game".
When I read this article I thought my head was going to explode just from trying to understand a mindset that would support this logic

TTAG reader Dale clocked theatlantic.coms Guns for Hunting People Are Different: Legislation Should Reflect That and asked So now were hunting people? His email drew our attention to this excerpt: In most states, it is illegal to hunt animals or birds with more than six rounds in a rifle or three in a shotgun. Why? Because if you cant kill within those limits you need remedial marksmanship (of the sort NRA Executive Vice President Wayne R. La Pierre might require to bring reportedly poor marksmanship up to snuff). Dale begs to differ. Um, no, the idea is to give some of the game a chance to get away so that it can replenish. And it just gets worse from there. Allow me . . .
Assault rifles are rifles of mass destruction. We shouldnt be trying to make it safe to have them on the street. Its too late for that. We need to restrict homicide weapons to those licensed to hunt humans, in law enforcement and the military. Read at:

We may fight against gun control, but in reality, we are a decade or two from confiscation (if that long).
We have allowed them to raise a generation that will be reflexively anti-gun. With a passion they will give away the America right to bear arm.
