Eric Bolling Explodes At Geraldo Over Obama’s Response To Benghazi, Hangs Up Mid-Interview
Mediaite ^ | May 28, 2013 | Noah Rothman

Fox News Channel hosts Eric Bolling and Geraldo Rivera blew up at each other on Rivera’s radio program on Tuesday amid an argument over the appropriateness of President Barack Obama’s response to the attacks on American diplomatic and service personnel in Benghazi in 2012. Bolling and Rivera battled over Obama’s personal culpability in the attacks until Bolling hung up after being accused by Rivera of alleging that the president was “a damn murderer.”

Rivera opened the interview by criticizing Bolling’s focus on Obama’s actions on the night of the attack. He said that Bolling is buying into a “false narrative” suggesting that Obama was personally disengaged on the night of the attack.

Bolling said that there are multiple legitimate questions relating to the administration’s response to the Benghazi attack, including who gave the order to not respond to the second attack and why the White House first blamed the attack on a YouTube video.

Bolling said that the military abandoned its 237-year-old motto to “leave no one behind.”

“You just heard Eric Bolling make an inflammatory statement alleging the worst kind of comment by the president and the secretary,” Rivera said to former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer.

“It’s not alleging. It’s what happened,” Bolling fired back. “There’s nothing alleged about that, Geraldo.”

“What you’re alleging is an intentional failure to intervene when they had the opportunity to do that,” Spitzer agreed.

"Fox has one purpose, to provide red meat for the masses."

You say you quit watching Fox. So I could reasonably imply you are uninformed about them, ipso facto.

Just off the top of my head, the following come to mind....Malkin, Pirro, Hume, Krauthammer, Napolitano, Baier, Perino, Gutfeld, Varney, Trotta, Guilfoyle, Hannity, Cavuto, Bolling, Barnes, Rove, Kelly, Shadegg, Tantaros, North, Herridge, Green, Buttner, Carlson, numerous retired military, and many others.

Quite a lineup of limp wristed liberals.

Name ANY other news organization that comes close to it, from a conservative point of view.

Go over to FBN and you'll find a bunch more.

Bottom line is that the 6th fleet was monitoring the situation in Benghazi. The area commander devised an intervention plan, reported he was ready to go, and was told either to stand down or worse never given orders to proceed. The press won’t ask but that commander will ultimately testify under oath before Congress.Too many people know the truth. Ultimately it will be revealed.

“If that seems too contrived for you, Glenn Beck is an interesting alternative but if you seek a 24/7 conservative TV news network, you’re out of luck. FR is the best we can do and come to think of it, that isn’t too shabby.”

I have a series of gripes about Fox. I don’t require “purity”, but I do require honesty and an attempt to be something more than simple entertainment.

Fox also frustrates me, because the left has damaged them beyond repair. How many times have you talked to a “moderate” and when Fox is mentioned, they roll their eyes like you said Weekly World News?

I realize Fox is a business, and entertainment is essential for audience share which translates to a profit. Got it. Fox is a little to cozy with Arab, (muslim), investors.

I could go on, but the bottom line is that I have no particular affection for Fox, and I can get all the news I need from radio and the internet.

Who would waste their time listening to Jerry Rivers on the radio?

The point is Eric Bolling pressing on with the Benghazi disaster. The fact that he used a tool like GR is of no consequence.

Bolling is hot! Wish we’d see more of him and less of the Puerto Rican Jew on FOX.

He’s not red or blue, he’s red, white and blue...

And RED RED RED...

Gerald Rivers is sickening and I even TRIED listening to him. Joyce Kaufman swore she wouldn’t leave her show to him but she lied.

I have a series of gripes about Fox. I don’t require “purity”, but I do require honesty and an attempt to be something more than simple entertainment.

I don't believe Fox News is 'simple entertainment' but it is a cable TV network, not a source of revealed truth so I won't argue the point because our opinions about Fox News are subjective and cannot be proven right or wrong.

Fox also frustrates me, because the left has damaged them beyond repair. How many times have you talked to a “moderate” and when Fox is mentioned, they roll their eyes like you said Weekly World News?

In my view this sneering disdain for Fox News from leftists - shared by some so-called 'moderates' - validates the relative fairness of Fox News programming. I would ask those 'moderates' who scoff at the legitimacy of Fox News if they ever watch it. As with Rush Limbaugh, most critics just parrot what others have told them and haven't actually made an informed judgement of Fox News.

I realize Fox is a business, and entertainment is essential for audience share which translates to a profit. Got it. Fox is a little to cozy with Arab, (muslim), investors.

I've read that complaint before on FR. When I see Muslim jihadists being excused on Fox News shows, I'll abandon the network. Until then, that remains a specious accusation.

I could go on, but the bottom line is that I have no particular affection for Fox, and I can get all the news I need from radio and the internet.

I'm sure we could both go on but I'm not here to interminably defend Fox News. I'm just stating my views on the network, which I consider an oasis in a sea of transparently leftist TV news networks, beginning with the 'Big Three'. My bottom line is that I think conservatives are fortunate to have any TV news network that isn't totally liberal and the constant carping about Fox News that I read on FR seems petty and sometimes overblown. They've been accused by some FReepers of 'drifting left' for years now and frankly, I just don't see it....and I think I'd notice.

Fox News is thriving (handily beating all its cable news competition) and while some FReepers are critical of the network (mainly because of the liberal commentators) I believe it will continue to do well, even as the left endlessly attempt to deem it an illegitimate source of information. Fortunately, Fox News' growing audience doesn't agree.

P.S. Geraldo was in an interview with Rove and after he hung up, his ‘oh so enlightened phone guy’ said “He still never said, ‘so where does it go from here’

Ugh, eff you Geraldo.

Anyone else think Jerry would be a little more “curious” about Benghazi if the victims were Hispanic?

That's a good question, so I looked up what Mr. Rivers thinks about George Zimmerman. He says George Zimmerman is guilty of Manslaughter and should be prosecuted beyond the full extent of the law. So...Black trumps Hispanic.

Linky.
