TV Ratings: MSNBC Falls Below HLN in May, Rachel Maddow Hits Lows

Fox News Channel maintains a handsome lead in primetime and total day, while primetime runner-up CNN continues a healthy climb from the lows of 2012.

Averaging 539,000 viewers in primetime and 175,000 viewers in the adults 25-54 demographic, MSNBC suffered double-digit drops from last May -- down a respective 20 and 19 percent.

MSNBC will keep going down the drain. Until Comcast fires the whole lot of misfits at MSNBC, the cable TV station will continue to lose both viewers and market share. I mean...come on....have ever watched Al Sharpton, Rachel Maddow, Chris Hayes or spitting, Chris Matthews. It is a sad comedy hour of buffoons on parade!!! Fox News Channel leads the pack by a gigantic margin. Why? At the end of the day, most Americans want a balanced view of news and events!!!

MSNBC is in LALA land, making believe that all is just peachy with Obama and his criminal thugs and gangsters!!! Well.....MSNBC, I got news for you!!! It ain’t peachy....and never was!!!! End of story!!!

If you notice...Senator McCain is pushing a bill that would force cable companies to offer only the channels you truly want to sign up for. Instead of these stupid 100-channel packages, and having MSNBC lumped into your package....you could idenify the twelve channels you want, and deny MSNBC.

What improved my cable greatly is when Maryland opened the path to Verizon FIOS to lay cable lines and compete against comcast, I hated comcast here,
Crappy service, crappy equipment , service out weekly, software in cable box unusable and they couldnt care less.
Its like day and night with FIOS here.

Sick, it just means we pay for the channels we want to see. In my area we have over 500 channels - and I don't want to support the liberal ones... why should I be forced to support PBS with my tax dollars - and again with my cable money?

It's like if I shopped at Walmart and 5% of my purchase money went to JC Penney. Or if I bought a Leonard Cohen CD and discovered half the money would go to the Dixie Chicks. Really Sick, this is the best thing since sliced bread.

I dont in a minute trust congress to f... with this by dictating what they must or cant do, especially Mccain. All’s cable needs is more competition.

Personally on FIOS I subscribed to a few extra packages (mostly movies) and I program 'favorites' option so I can surf my personalized guide without seeing all the channels I am not interested in like MTV.
