Re-emergence of debate over controversies could loom for Obama ('Scandal" word banned by LSM)
NBC News ^ | 6/1/13 | Mike O'Brien

For President Barack Obama, some difficult days in May still could become the dog days of summer.

As Republicans look to keep the embers of outrage associated with three White House controversies glowing throughout this week’s congressional recess, a new poll on Thursday suggested lingering political danger for President Barack Obama and his team.

The public is divided over whether the administration has been forthcoming about its role in a trio of controversies involving revelations that the IRS had targeted conservative groups, its initial explanation for last year’s terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya, and the administration’s admission that it had targeted journalists’ phone and email records in a leak investigation.

So...

The story is already over about the ‘scandals’ and moved on to how the evil Republicans want to keep talking about them (apparently after the media has ‘moved on’)

Scandal 1.An action or event regarded as morally or legally wrong and causing general public outrage: “a bribery scandal”.

Controversy 1. a discussion marked especially by the expression of opposing views

If they don’t like the term scandal, then they could stop engaging in scandals.

He’s not going to give up.

Those who are opposed to the trashing of the rule of law are of differing opinions to those of the BO persuasion. It’s controversial.

Propaganda 1.Information, esp. of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote or publicize a particular political cause or point of view.

And they are blaming ‘Republicans’ for wanting to keep the ‘outrage’ going.....I am an independent conservative and I am not outraged. I am ashamed that Republicans don’t use the power of the purse in the House to affect reform.

The House can dictate spending to Obama, even if Obama already has the funds at his disposal just like in Iran-Contra hearings the Boland Amendment was used to hammer the Reagan administration into submission to explain the missiles for Tehran as funds for the Contras in Nicaruagua (even though the missiles were deficient and such deficiency was unknown to the Iranians). I still think Oliver North was brilliant in that episode. But I digress.

Instead of "scandal" they use "flap" or "kerfuffle."

“While many believe the controversies about Benghazi, the IRS and journalists’ phone records are worth pursuing, Americans also say those investigations should take a back seat to the issue of jobs and the economy. Seventy-three percent of Americans (including 60 percent of Republicans) said that jobs and the economy should be the higher priority, versus 22 percent of Americans who argued for putting investigations into the administration first.”

What idiots are they polling?! Obama’s policies are responsible for the non-recovery. If we got rid of Obama the economy might have a chance.

Only in the MSM, you know, those who have taken up the job of governing because the Republican leadership is out on the golf course and at the boardwalk.

But not in the places where the work is being done.

This is not going away.

They describe the Benghazi “controversy” as just being about the false story about the video...not about the State Department decisions that put the ambassador and the other Americans in a position of being defenseless, or about the failure of Obama to do anything to try to save American lives during the 7 or 8 hours the attack went on.

No need to worry! The “news” media is just giving the word “scandal” a break. It will return upon the election of the next conservative to the Presidency (or even during his/her campaign, if the “news” media can do it)!

If there is one thing the left knows better than any other aspect of control, it is control of language. Language IS thought for most people, and by controlling the vernacular, the words, they control people.

It is why ‘gay marriage’ was a fait accompli the moment the term ‘gay marriage’ was accepted in the vernacular.

Conservative can have a lot of fun with the reluctance of the Media to mention the OBAMA SCANDAL. We should use OBAMA SCANDAL as often as possible, leaving which OBAMA SCANDAL the listeners choice, or they can ask us which OBAMA SCANDAL we mean. There are so many now to choose from.

Good idea. In fact, the Jobless Economy should be another Obama scandal, given that every other recovery was much quicker & brought back jobs as well as economic growth in general. :-)

Comcast is following the orders of the propaganda minister.

NBC gets marching orders from Comcast

GE sold NBC to Comcast to be relieved of the task and the commercial stain.
