So, you should be charged with DUI, have your license pulled, go to court and pay a fine then? And have your insurance rates, assuming you can get insurance, doubled?
My sore tailbone has caused me to swerve over a number of lines, while struggling against the constraint of seat belts to move my butt to a comfortable position. This has probably happened when allergies turn my eyes blood red.
I assume that most...if not all...states have a separate "driving while impaired" law or a similar clause attached to their DUI laws.I've already mentioned my situation...if I was ever stopped for weaving, for example, blew a 0.000,had no evidence of drugs on my person or in my car I assume that I could still be charged. But without a breathalyzer...or blood test...or video I think they'd be hard pressed to convict me.
I have eye allergies that I use prescription eye drops for every single day. Sometimes it only works a little and my eyes are a mess, red, irritated, bloodshot, and the lids are red and swollen.
I’d go to jail forever.
That is certainly true. However, the law against drinking and driving caused this arrest, not because of what else could have caused the problem.
DUI, at least in Alabama means Driving under the influence.
It used to be DWI, driving while intoxicated. So, I would assume you would need to be under the influence of something.
Or not.
BTW. I wonder how many housewives, just for instance, get away with driving under the influence of say, narcotics? Or how many pot smokers get away with driving under the influence? Far as I know narcotics and pot are rarely, if ever, tested for.
It’s possible the race angle is brown vs black. I’d like to know if the officers involved are hispanic.
Apparently he’s been stopped 10 times and ticketed 4 times since moving to the area. That’s a lot of stops.
Thank God he did not have a dog in his car.
What time of the month was it? Maybe the cop needed to fill a quota?
Having lived in Ohio have I had dealings with local cops that sound eerily like this?
Sadly.....yes.
“What time of the month was it?”
Certainly possible I guess. Didn’t say weather the arresting cop was male or female.....
“Apparently hes been stopped 10 times and ticketed 4 times since moving to the area. Thats a lot of stops.”
Just skimmed the article but it sounds like there’s some more to this.
This actually happen in Arizona, but I’ve heard about the cops in Canton.
This has happened before to others.
should have asked the cop if he had been eating donuts
becuase his eyes were glazed....
I got stopped by cops in Fulton County for doing 42 in a 35 cornfield. In a town where a big battle was ensuing on whether or not to let the cops unionize. Oh, and where an unsolved rape had occurred BEHIND THE POLICE STATION!
Allergies? A likely story. Let's check the record to see how many crystal meth precursor chemicals you've bought recently. A Police State is a safe state... at least for the police and that's all that matters.
Too many cops with too damned much time on their hands.
I’ve watched a simple traffic stop end up with four cruisers lined up.
