NSA snooping: Necessary defensive tool, or time for a revolution?
Rare.US ^ | June 12, 2013 | Editorial

The fleeing man’s whereabouts are unknown. What fate should befall him when he pops up is an open question depending on whom you ask. “Hero. Traitor. Whistle-blower. Spy. What to call NSA Leaker Ed Snowden?” asked ABC News on Monday night. The battle lines are being drawn in the scandal over the National Security Agency (NSA) vacuuming up private information on millions of ordinary, everyday Americans. Unlike most controversies in the nation’s capital, the belligerents in this showdown don’t fall into predictable partisan camps.

Liberal California Sen. Dianne Feinstein sounds outright hawkish when she declares of Mr. Snowden that, “What he did was an act of treason,” and insists of the NSA activities, “It’s called protecting America.” This is novel positioning for a senior member of her party. In recent decades, Democrats have typically defended those who divulged government secrets at the expense of defense and intelligence operations, and that is still – for the most part – true. Today, however, the lion’s share of overt intra-party division on the leaking issue is on the Republican side of the aisle.

I have time. I would appreciate the effort, and am willing to wait for you to get to it when you can.

If this administration is NOT held to account for it’s various treasonous acts against the U.S. Constitution and the American people, and a revolution does not materialize, then we the Sheople deserve what is coming down the road from these facists.

IN the dangerous days of Medieval Times, writers and artists developed a system of code words/colors/objects to keep the truth alive - and keep from being crispy crittered on a stake for heresy and/or as an ‘enemy of the state’.
(For example: ala the Da Vinci Code, a women with long red hair, a small alabaster jar, some sort of tower in the background, or dressed in green and gold garments - and/or some form of an X (like lacing on the gown) - signified Mary Magdalene - who was still falsely portrayed as a whore by kings and popes - for power/political purposes)

Beside “1984”, a wake up call, there was the 1998 movie: “Enemy of the State” (Gene Hackman and Will Smith) that spelled the whole NSA octopus out in spades. It was NOT fiction. It was the truth, hiding in plain site, for those who weren't too busy watching “Idol” and “Survivors”. (I wonder. Is the author still alive?)

You can watch this film in full on YouTube (wonder if it will soon disappear) - Do yourself a favor - WATCH IT. Warning: be prepared for chills up your backside.) This truth ha been out there, for those paying attention. MAkes me despondent every time I read a Freeper who thinks this program is new. It's just hit a new high.

Snowden is Our Paul Revere. But Revere had lots of backup. Who's standing with Snowden? We make a loud voice with him now - or he AND all hope for this country is gone.

I've been posting for days about watching the movie and posting the link on all forums/social media/your email contacts - make it go viral. People who watch this movie now will “get the picture.” Let's get this viral, folks. We need the Sheeple to wake up. That includes some Freepers. (go ahead and flame)

the media is now picking up on the connection with the movie -

Watch the movie - make it go viral. Just the opening lines should get every ones attention.

If I were Snowden, I’d assume the alias, Jose’ Martinez, relocate to Miami, go on welfare and live out my days totally ignored by the NSA, IRS, DHS or anyone else. Just for crax, I’d participate in an occasional La Raza riot, just to maintain my creds, but how tough is THAT?!

Sure, the exercise would help me solidify some of my thoughts as well.

For starters, I see you mention you are / were an agnostic. There is a passage in Isaiah 46:10 that is key to understanding there is a creator with powers we can't began to comprehend (as well as other proofs):

8“Remember this, keep it in mind,

take it to heart, you rebels.

9Remember the former things, those of long ago;

I am God, and there is no other;

I am God, and there is none like me.

10 I make known the end from the beginning,

from ancient times, what is still to come.

I say, ‘My purpose will stand,

and I will do all that I please.’

11From the east I summon a bird of prey;

from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose.

What I have said, that I will bring about;

what I have planned, that I will do.

12Listen to me, you stubborn-hearted,

you who are now far from my righteousness.

13I am bringing my righteousness near,

it is not far away;

and my salvation will not be delayed.

I will grant salvation to Zion,

my splendor to Israel.

That isn’t going to happen unless we repeal direct election of senators, which probably just isn’t going to happen.

Mystery Babylon is not the US. First of all, Mystery Babylon is identified as a city, not a country, and secondly, one of the identifiers of Mystery Babylon is that she is responsible for the deaths of the prophets and saints. No prophets were ever killed in America, because this nation did not exist during that era.

There are really only two serious candidates for Mystery Babylon that seem to fit the various identifiers: Rome or Jerusalem. They are objections that can be raised to either one, but they can’t be easily eliminated like all the other candidates.

I appreciate your point and would support a repeal of 17A. However, note that senators take an oath to protect and defend the Constitution, including respecting Congress's Article I, Section 8-limited powers, no matter who elects them.

You do realize that the Da Vinci Code was fiction and isn’t actually historically accurate, right?

Oaths don’t carry any weight if there are no repercussions against those who forsake them.

You post to me: “You do realize that the Da Vinci Code was fiction and isn’t actually historically accurate, right?”

I also know that I am an artist and published writer - and what I wrote about codes in regards to Mary M...were not in Brown's “da Vinci Code” - but from historical records...a subject I was well aware of before Dan Brown was born.

I just gave one of my granddaughters a tome on the subject for getting her AA degree - she will be majoring in art with the goal of becoming an art historian - starting college as a junior. (She graduated high school 4 days after getting her 2-yr college degree. She's 18)

The secret codes used by the Renaissance painters are still pretty much ‘hidden’ - but for different reasons and by different parties.

Should you ever want to learn about what you opine about, this book is a good start: “The Secret Language of the Renaissance: Decoding the Hidden Symbolism of Italian Art.”

But thanks for the concern ;o)
