A panel of federal judges ordered California on Thursday to ease overcrowding in state prisons by reducing the number of inmates by about 10,000 this year, and criticized what they described as foot-dragging in dealing with the matter.

California has been under court orders to reduce the population in its 33-prison system since 2009.

"Failure to take such steps or to report on such steps every two weeks shall constitute an act of contempt," the judges said in their ruling.

Don Specter, an attorney for the plaintiffs in the case, said the ruling would mean cutting the prison population to around 109,000 inmates from about 119,000 currently.

"The ruling is absolutely essential in order for prisoners to be safe and to get adequate healthcare," Specter said.

Move them to Pelosi’s, Feinstein’s and Boxer’s neighborhoods. And Nostrildamus’s while you’re at it.

I think they should let out all the innocent ones.

To find out who is, just ask them.

Fat chance. The Limousine Leftists never have to live next door to the problems they create.

Oh my goodness. By all means, let's release them to their high crime hellholes and where they will get no healthcare at all except the ER after they get shot or stabbed.

Nice and the cost of having violent thugs roaming around is devastating to a community/society.
Then they tax businesses and the middle class to death, remove their right for self defense then throw sex offenders back out on the street to rape and kill. The ruling class lives high on the hog with our money behind they gated walls.

Of course not.

If that were the case, the borders would have been secured in 1985.

This is easy to do if those same judges will allow California to deport 10,000 of their criminals back to Mexico where they came from.

So they go out to the streets to commit crime and then can’t go back to prison because there’s no room.

Bus them to Hollywood as well. And Malibu beachfronts. That will go over well.

It’s a real shame that the broader population cannot purchase firearms to protect themselves and their families from the soon to be roving criminals in CA.

If we can’t get Rubio and Scmucky Schumer to build a wall on the Mexican border maybe we can get them to build one on the border with California.

It is a toss up which one will be the biggest drain on American taxpayers in the mext decade.

And if the Feds would deport the illegals currently in our prisons, that would make an ever bigger dent!
