While many Americans struggle to earn a living or barely scrape by on unemployment and live in fear of IRS audits, illegal aliens and non-resident aliens have gained cumulative millions off our taxpayer money. According to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA), in 2011, the IRS sent more than $46 million in tax refunds to 23,994 unauthorized alien workers who all listed the same address in Atlanta, GA. The Atlanta address wasnt the only one that received millions in tax refunds housing thousands; there were actually four addresses in Atlanta and six in other states that were issued anywhere from 1,846 to 23,994 tax refunds each. The TIGTA audit report was published last year at the request of Congress and exposed a problem Washington has been aware of for the better part of a decade.
CNS news.com broke down the report as follows:
The IRS sent 11,284 refunds worth a combined $2,164,976 to unauthorized alien workers at a second Atlanta address; 3,608 worth $2,691,448 to a third; and 2,386 worth $1,232,943 to a fourth.
Other locations on the IGs Top Ten list for singular addresses that were theoretically used simultaneously by thousands of unauthorized alien workers, included an address in Oxnard, Calif, where the IRS sent 2,507 refunds worth $10,395,874; an address in Raleigh, North Carolina, where the IRS sent 2,408 refunds worth $7,284,212; an address in Phoenix, Ariz., where the IRS sent 2,047 refunds worth $5,558,608; an address in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., where the IRS sent 1,972 refunds worth $2,256,302; an address in San Jose, Calif., where the IRS sent 1,942 refunds worth $5,091,027; and an address in Arvin, Calif., where the IRS sent 1,846 refunds worth $3,298,877.

Just Abolish the IRS with the Fair Tax!!!
In Austin, TX, the car dealers anticipate those Earned Income Credit checks that illegals get from the IRS, no questions asked. They come in with $30,000 cash to buy a truck or SUV and everybody’s happy....except the U.S. taxpayer, who is stupid as a goose.
I doubt the money went to illegals. That much money going to single addresses likely went to organizations like the SEIU. If we can get some actual street numbers, I suspect we’ll know a lot more.
Well, bureaucratic bumbling COULD be involved here.
A flatter tax is the more practical way to go. I say flatter not flat because the latter would be hard to sell. Fair tax has the problem of prebate. That gets people used to government doles even more than today.
Bottom line, abolish the IRS once and for all.
Cannot be done while there is a national taxation system to fund a now huge government. Bottom line, God says foolishness brings misery. Good luck with your man made plans.
Those addresses are rented by storefront tax preparers who put up those signs in the medians of the road in all the Mexican areas ... Some goes to the mexicans , some to the mafia... some goes to the DNC/Acorn etc.
And soon the IRS will be enforcing Obamacare....
Huge game of chicken. Nobody wants to be the one who slew the Obamacare monster.
Excellent point.
Every January the storefronts in the “hood” sprout tax preparers signs like dandelions in April.
They say they can track “networks” from metadata.
But how about this activity to the same address?
And foreigners ARE involved.
Help me understand.
They can track snail mail as well. The idiot who sent anthrax to Bloomberg was tracked back because of software that photographs envelopes as it moves through the sorting machines.
The IRS was too busy scanning requests to be a 5033C or C4 non taxable entity to be bothered looking for returns which looked false on just cursory review.
The IRS USED to have a screening program at each service center wherein live people looked at the returns visually which came in looking for OBVIOUS multiple filers and the like. How could they have missed something like this with todays use of optical scanners and the like not available in the 70s? To me that means one thing, they were TOLD to look elsewhere and not bother potential illegals. Probably begun under Bush the Jerk.
The IRS plan is as follows:
Attract illegal aliens with free money, and then provide support and assistance to these illegal aliens so they can remain in this country long enough to get amnesty and vote Democrat in all coming elections.
Impossible. Illegals don’t pay taxes. At least any I’ve ever interacted with didn’t. They were paid cash.
The IRS took quite a lot from me this year in taxes. I am not pleased that they reward illegal invaders with our tax money, money that I, in part, provided from the sweat of my brow.
I am a legal American citizen, as natural born as they come. Members of my family have fought in each of this country’s major conflicts since the Civil War. I served in the Marines honorably. I have recited the Pledge of Allegiance with sincere devotion since I was a kid. I have raised responsible, ethical children who will be an asset to, and not a drain on, this country in the future. I have done everything that I was supposed to do. Now, it is time for our leadership to do what they are supposed to do. Reduce our taxes. Be responsible with the finances of the United States. Secure our border. Send illegals home. Don’t treat illegal aliens better than rightful citizens. Do this and you will have fulfilled your duties in office. Do this not and you will earn the distrust and condemnation of all legal Americans.
The IRS sent 11,284 refunds worth a combined $2,164,976 to unauthorized alien workers at a second Atlanta address; 3,608 worth $2,691,448 to a third; and 2,386 worth $1,232,943 to a fourth.
I guess it's a good thing the money isn't actually worth much, eh?
In full seriousness: I'd be surprised if lots of organizations haven't set up scams of this kind: the IRS itself, SEIU and other feral government unions, illegal alien criminal gangs, ordinary American criminal gangs, city governments, et alia. I believe it would be unreasonable to expect criminals not to go for free money, especially when so-called "law enforcement" agencies from coast to coast are wholly engrossed in law-breaking.
Nero fiddled while Rome burned.
Response: Of course!
As you state not only is the taxpayer “stupid as a goose” but he is morally bankrupt and ripe for the ongoing conquest.
