It's official: CNN has announced that it will relaunch "Crossfire," its longstanding political debate show, this fall.
As previously reported here, former Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich and former Obama deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter will both serve as co-hosts. Gingrich will be joined on the conservative side by S.E. Cupp, the MSNBC co-host, New York Daily News columnist and TheBlaze contributor; Cutter will be joined on the liberal side by Van Jones, a CNN contributor and former green jobs advisor to the Obama administration.
Few programs in the history of CNN have had the kind of impact on political discourse that Crossfire did it was a terrific program then, and we believe the time is right to bring it back and do it again, CNN president Jeff Zucker said in a statement. We look forward to the opportunity to host passionateconversation from all sides of the political spectrum. Crossfire will be the forum where America holds its great debates.

I am offended by the violent and threatening name of the show and demand they cater to my feelings.
Actually looks like a good decision by the CNN brass. Not overly familiar with Cutter’s TV host skills, but overall, I like the panel. Gingrich and Cupp are well-spoken on the right, and Van Jones (despite his commie roots) is a smart dude and good on tv.
Wuss.
How about “Sealclub”? That better for ya? No guns implied. :-)
Good Lord, what a freak show!
While I really like S. E Cupp...with Van Jones and Stephanie Cutter as co-hosts... they could have the entire crew of Sports Illustrated swimsuit models on the conservative side and I wouldn’t watch it.
(Did I just say that?)
I’ll tune in if I get to hear, “Nancy, you ignorant sl**.”
Oh whee. Another Pundit show where people are paid to give me their opinion. Well, not me as I don’t watch “pundits”.
The 24 hour news cycle killed reporting in America.
CNN bringing back crossfire only means one thing. The liberal experiment has failed and they are bringing in Repubicans to bolster their ratings.
Gingrich is well spoken and Cupp is smart as well as eye candy.
I might watch this a couple of times.
Republican...
I won’t be watching, but I watched every night when Pat was the one on the right.
Van Jones vs Gingrich? That’s gonna be worth watching........maybe........
"We cant be afraid to call out Rush Limbaugh. If we can get three Republicans on three different networks saying, What Rush Limbaugh said is crazy and stupid and dangerous, maybe thatll give other Republicans cover (to denounce the talk-show host)." -- http://dailycaller.com/2013/02/14/s-e-cupp-we-cant-be-afraid-to-call-out-rush-limbaugh/#ixzz2XKeq2F7M
On being an atheist: "I've seen some really great movies about Jesus. I collect religious kitschy objects, so I have a lot of Jesus dolls around the house. When I think about Jesus, I think about one of my dolls. It's terrible." -- http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2636932/posts
On gay adoptions: "We also have to embrace gay adoption. This will not be comfortable, but it is morally imperative. Its also good politics at a time when it seems the abortion conversation is fraught with so many perils and pitfalls for conservative politicians. -- http://beforeitsnews.com/opinion-conservative/2013/06/avowed-atheist-s-e-cupp-pushes-for-conservatives-to-accept-gay-adoption-2666592.html

"Conservative?" I'll pass, thanks.
She's smart, conservative, quick on her feet and there is a touch of the "Naughty Schoolteacher" about her.
Sorry but I got burn out on the screaming heads TV infotainment style shows long ago. This is what Hannity and O’Reilley are every night - the same revolving cast of guests screaming about the same issues over and over and over and etc.etc.
This is great! I actually prefer CNN’s on location reporting style, I just can’t watch any of their shows,
Van Jones?
Forget it.
