The Conservative Treehouse ^ | July 2, 2013 | Sundance

Today, July 2nd, is DAY #17 (of 4th week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case.

Today Detective Chris Serino will be back on the stand. [Yesterday ended] on the stand with Chris Serino, who was the lead investigator for the Sanford Police Department on the Trayyvon Martin shooting.

Defense counsel Mark O’Mara led cross-examination with his usual consummate skill, obtaining responses from this witness–remember, the State’s witness–that all but completely guts the State’s charge in this case.

Among the key revelations so far: Zimmerman was always completely cooperative, open, and straightforward with all the police investigators over many weeks of multiple interviews, both in person at the police station and phone. The sense given is that Zimmerman demonstrated endless patience. (continue reading summary)

There is a lot of political crap going on in the SPD, Serino may be sweating about his job. He is obviously not a happy camper.

That is speculation, something that people who believe Zimmerman is a murderer counts for actual evidence.

There is no evidence that Zimmerman is a liar, whereas there is crystal clear evidence that Rachael is a liar, yet I see people on tv saying I believe her...

Hey, did the Treepers come up with any significant points about that Crump interview? They had mixed opinions last I checked. (Not being adversarial. Serious inquiry.)

But if anyone tries to correct and refer to it as Arizona watermelon juice,” they will be charged with racism, even though that’s what it is.

Is it possible that “you got me” is the phrase that young gansta wannabe punks use when they play Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (oops, I mean Mixed Martial Arts Street Fights) and they want to ‘tap out’, or ‘cry uncle’ ???????

NB: When the judge sustained the pros objection on Serino's last answer from yesterday, she stated that a witness could not opine as to another witness's veracity. GZ is NOT a witness.

I know that sensation. I had a nosebleed so bad that the emts had to be called, and the sensation of it going down my throat was terrible. And I was standing up.

They told me to be very careful not to swallow it, as it might make me sick to my stomach. Gave me a neat nose clip, showed me exactly where to place it, and how long to keep it on.

Caused by very dry air in Minnesota winters. I keep that clip handy, just in case!

My take is that much of what Bernie says is barely relevant to the facts, it’s just intended to poison the air and program the jury. He doesn’t have anything tangible.

What the hell was the comics thing?

EXTREME DESPERATION. A drowning swimmer grasping for the throat of his rescuer.

Just like BDLR's last question about Serino's 'knowledge' being all speculation.

Oh I am not wrong.

We will revisit this later in the case

BOTH SIDES WILL

TRUST ME

AND I WILL BRING IT BACK UP TO YOU THEN.

But for now..there is no point about going through this...

And btw, if you go back to the thread yesterday I SAID THE INTERROGATION TAPE WAS A PROBLEM FOR NUMBER OF REASONS..NOT JUST THE CAR...

But for now....just go ahead and think I know nothing...

It doesn’t bother me.

PS..I missed why O’MARA originally sat down...I saw a post where he was basically forced to sit down..don’t know it is true..because I was so busy responding to the ad nausem attacks

-- But when it comes to discerning whether or not a person is telling the truth and whether their statements are supported by the facts.....who would be a more qualified "expert" than a veteran police detective who's job it is to do just that? --

Like Bernardo de la Rionda?

Judging the veracity of a witness is the jury's job. Laymen are qualified to judge cedibility. They don;t need an expert to tell them who is telling the truth.

The most stunning part of this morning’s testimony is that Serino said that GZ was still in the vehicle when the word came to him that he didn’t need to follow him. And yet Serino was at the reenactment video when GZ told him that he was at the T when he heard that from the NEN operator. And he says that he was not lying and there was were no inconsistencies in his recounting of the event.

Then he said that he had evidence that GZ followed him and could only come up with the location of the altercation as evidence — even though it is perfectly clear that it would have been on the pathway back to the vehicle.

This guy was the one who is unbelievable

Good observation, UC. The race baiters want the public to believe that the hoodie drew Zim’s attention because it’s a cultural thing in the black community to wear hoodies.

A hoodie obscures facial features and prevents the security cameras from recording identifying features of perps who commit crimes in conveniences stores. It’s the same logic that banks use when they post signs about no masks, etc.
