Mercury News reports, fearing a political-military implosion that could throw its most important Arab ally into chaos, the Obama administration has abandoned its hands-off approach, delivering pointed warnings to the three main players in the crisis, according to Mercury News: Muslim Brotherhood President Mohammed Morsi, protesters demanding his ouster and the powerful Egyptian military.
U.S. officials said Tuesday they are urging Morsi to take immediate steps to address opposition grievances, says Mercury News, telling the protesters to remain peaceful and reminding the army that a coup could have consequences for the massive American military aid package...

Soon McCain and his buttboy will be demanding US troops sent to Cairo......
Hasn’t he done that yet?
They ain’t going to get that genie back into the bottle.
Prepping the wagging of the dog for the most crucial time
Just another in a series of 0bama BLUNDERS they are now trying to backpedal from. I hope the military coups Morsi’s azz, and tries and hangs him. Take THAT, team 0bama! You LOSE.
It seems plausible enough, and someone is actually showing some leadership!
This will help a lot, and I'm sure it will end well...

He’s got that look on his face that says;
“Useful idiot sitting next to me.”
I’d say go for it to the military. It would save US taxpayers’ dollars, and enable independent action by Egypt. Of course, that might also mean a war with Israel to shore up the popular support, which would mean we’d get the Sinai and Ghaza back, and the end of Oslo, and good riddance. So I’m not at all disinterested in this.
200 Marines to be sent to the American Embassy.
To little- too late. Things are spinning out of control. Obama once again backed the wrong horse—Radical Islamic nuts may well be fun to listen to—and shounting and raping are great but in the end, they do not put food on the table.
But...but it seemed like a great idea at the time. All those Christians and Jooos! are rich, and their homes and businesses were ours for the looting, so long as we give Allah his fifth. Now we discover to our horror, that Christians are just as poor as we, and there are no more Jooos! in Cairo. This is all their fault. Let’s go loot and rape some trained sharks./s
Obama’s already in Africa. We are already on the hook for the gig. Why doesn’t he just drop by and charm those pilgrims in Tahir Square.
Samuel L. Jackson could put it more eloquently than I without risking everything he owned. Something along the lines of ‘chillin . . ‘.
All Obama has to do is roll in, rap a little with his peeps, and roll right out.
He must warn them very sternly not to buy cars or use air conditioning. The planet might boil over.
