She is too cozy with Egypt’s deposed president and the Muslim Brotherhood, the signs say, and should leave the country.

Let us not forget the circumstances which led to the now ousted, unpopular rule of the Muslim Brotherhood at the helm of Egypt's government. It seems the Egyptian people harbor more than a little resentment towards its largest benefactor, the US, specifically Obama, in the clumsy, inept manner in which he facilitated the Muslim Brotherhood's rise to power.

It is indicative of Obama's ineptitude, his sinister leanings towards radical Islam's Muslim Brotherhood at home and abroad that in the aftermath of the military's move against Morsi, leaves behind considerable mistrust and resentment of the Egyptian people against the US, Obama in particular, having fomented the circumstances that led The MB to power.

The irony of Obama's obsequious, boot-licking, lamentations of world alienation by the US in the past, his barf-inducing world apology tour, juxtaposed alongside the world backlash against the US he's engendered, makes schandenfreude against the nefarious Obama Administration, a perfect way for America to celebrate its Independence Day holiday.

Can’t help but suspect the Times is holding back some of the background on this particular “career diplomat.” Wonder what her real story is.

"Both perspectives belie the reality that the United State has far less influence in Egypt than it did a generation ago."

More like 5 years ago - before the Fairy Prince showed up at the White House.

Anne W. Patterson, a press-shy career diplomat who has been American ambassador to Cairo since 2011, suddenly finds herself a target in a dangerous political upheaval, a symbol for angry young Egyptians of America’s meddlesome role in their country’s affairs.

Another Benghazi perhaps? Isn't Egypt further from Italy than Libya?

How did the administration facilitate the Muslim Brotherhoods rise to power? I keep hearing this and I would love to see some evidence. I have have seen NONE thus far. I am not talking about “feelings” or “suspicions” that Obama is a Muslim. I mean proof that it was the U.S. that got them elected. I have not seen one single shred of evidence.

It would be helpful.

For the eight years of the Bush Presidency, Madeline Albright touted one poll after another showing who much the world hated us. Where is she now?

Ambassador Anne Patterson is simply the ambassador to Egypt from the American White House branch of the Muslim Brotherhood. She’s been speaking the thoughts and carrying out the directives of Obama, Jarrett and the other members of the Washington DC Muslim Brotherhood.

This has been a setback (hopefully not temporary) to the agenda of the Obamamite Muslims and their Muslim Brotherhood cohorts world-wide.

Obviously it’s high time for Obama to break out the big guns - fire this Patterson woman and bring in Dennis Rodman.

Would you believe, long, long ago, I did meet Bill Clinton, before he was anybody. He was a nice guy, and “he had put his life on the line for his country.”

Most ambassadors are indeed career diplomats (to my knowledge), but when you realize that the ambassadorships to ALL our most important allies in attractive capitals are ALWAYS filled with POTUSes’ buddies, fundraisers and lobbyists, then you have to ask why we need career diplomats in the first place? Because the likes of Caroline Kennedy would never take up the Burundi post?

The government workers always “serve”, don’t they, “admirably”, with “great sacrifice”. You should see these pencil pushers living it up in foreign capitals.

needs to be shared

Why do the morons in the State department and the politicians continue to send ambassadors to Muslim countries who are almost guaranteed to be ignored and/or disrespected? I refer to women ambassadors of course.

The fact is that women in almost all Muslim countries have a different status in the culture. It is part of their religion and the region seems to be reverting back to a stricter form of Islam which doesn’t bode well for liberation of women.

In our arrogance, we seem to feel that by pushing our women in diplomatic jobs into positions of power that interact with government officials that we will change their culture or that they will ignore their own feelings of superiority in dealing with them.

I often wonder if Muslims don’t privately think we are insulting them and their culture by sending women ambassadors to their countries. We should take into consideration the mores of the culture that represents such a large segment of the world.

This isn’t a misogynist rant. I respect the many talented women in our diplomatic corps, but surely our purpose shouldn’t be to put their careers ahead of the national interest. Why not take the ambassadorships such as England and France that traditionally go to rich male campaign donors off the table as political plums doled out by Presidents to their supporters. Let our most talented women serve there—or in posts in countries which don’t have a religious bias against women. It isn’t our job to change the world to meet our own cultural preferences..

Ted Cruz made an excellent statement re the failures of Herr Obozo in Egypt:

Texas Republican Sen.Ted Cruz blasted the Obama administration’s policy toward Egypt in a scathing op-ed in Foreign Policy magazine, slamming the president’s stance on the Muslim Brotherhood “one of the most stunning diplomatic failures in recent memory.”

As the Egyptian military ends President Mohamed Morsi’s rule, Cruz points out that the ire of many people in the streets of Cairo is not reserved for the Muslim Brotherhood alone.

“The people protesting in the streets were not only carrying anti-Morsi signs,” Cruz writes. “They were also carrying signs with slogans like ‘Obama Supports Terrorism’ and ‘Obama Supports Morsi,’ as well as pictures of the American ambassador to Egypt, Anne Patterson, with a large red ‘X’ through her face.”

Below are some examples of the pictures and signs carried by the enemies of Herr Obozo, the Egyptian People in Cairo as noted by Ted Cruz. These photos will not appear in the MSM.
