Rafael Cruz, the father of Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, invigorated the crowd during tonights FreedomWorks Free the People event.
Describing his own personal journey escaping Cuba and working hard to build a life for himself in the U.S., the elder Cruz noted comparisons that he believes exist between Fidel Castros governance and President Barack Obamas executive actions.
Upon rising to power, he said that Castro, like Obama, spoke about hope and change. While the message sounded good at the time, it didnt take long for socialism to take root in his home country. And he paid the price.

The federal government has no legitimate power outside its enumerated powers (DELEGATED by the people and the states BTW) and the only constitutional power the feds have specifically to prohibit an individual is the 13th Amendment prohibiting an individual to own a slave.
So far, I like both the father and the son.
Haven’t “met” the rest of the family, yet.
What a speech! Such passion. Very lacking in too many of the native born Americans.
save for later
Regarding the “Baffoon” pic. If I am not mistaken, Barack has at least one cow.
Had Obama not left his homeland of Kenya at such a tender age he might not have grown up to be a Castro wannabe.
And two calves...: )
My vote for Ted Cruz was the best vote I have casted since November 1984.

My wife and I had the opportunity to hear the senior Cruz as a warm-up speaker at a quick stop in Temple during the Primary. We were converted to Cruzism before Ted even entered the building.
We had had very short notice about the meeting and there were only about ten locals in attendance. We were outnumbered by the tag-a-longs.
We left with several signs that were well displayed along our fence line and now have a spot of honor in my shop...
Maybe we could get him to run against Coryn the Rino...
Quote: Maybe we could get him to run against Coryn the Rino...Yes! Sen. John Cornyn needs to be kicked out!

I was there! Thank you for posting this. What a ZINGER of an event! It was interesting how the rain really didn’t bother us. Ted Cruz’ father was the highlight of the evening for sure! All the speakers were great! We were on the lawn and today we are going out to purchase stadium seats - you know, those “chairs” that sit on the ground.
See you tonight at Man in the Moon!!!
Cruz delivered the best speech of the night - no doubt about it. He had us on our feet!!!! Why doesn’t he run for office???!!!
