He’s a little more than six months away from passing the “Tonight Show” baton — again — but Jay Leno is very much still on his game ratings-wise.

Once Jay Leno got wise and started going after Obama, our failed and incompetent POTUS,,,,his numbers went out of sight on the positive!!! Letterman, zero that he is...has nary a clue!!! When Leno leaves NBC, Fox will go after him big time. If Leno jumps and signs with FOX, he will quickly become the “King of the Hill” for a long time to come!!!

And unlike guys such as Bob Hope and George Burns, he has no clue on how to turn “old” to his advantage.

Leno's recent ratings spike happened because he became more truthful in criticizing 0bama in his opening monologue, especially regarding the scandals. He gave his VIEWERS what they wanted to hear, not the 0bama administration!

His recent show with Mitt Romney was excellent. He didn't seek to entrap him or frame the topic with an agenda of spiking the football for 0bama.

It's Leno's promotion/protection of 0bama that turned off viewers and especially now that's it's clear to even his brain dead viewers that the 0bama regime is total failure and not worthy of praise.

Fallon will turn The Tonight Show into 'ghetto hour' which will probably alienate 30-40% of the show's current viewers. Fallon is talented but his transparent appeasement of blacks is tiresome.

Carson wiped the floor with all of them.

Watch some of his stuff with guests like Sinatra, Dean Martin, Don Rickles, Carol Wayne, Jack Benny, George Gobal, Glen Cambell, Bob Hope, etc etc.

And the Tonight Show Band which kicked ass.

Letterman has become an old, bitter, hateful communist.

No Doubt. When Carson left the business, it was all downhill from there.

... I have a feeling that, even though Leno is quite a funny guy, his jabs at the Prez with a fez and this administration are garnering a growing viewership of people that less than impressed with Mr. Obama.

Correct politics trumps actual humor every time. Liberals largely do not understand real humor. To them everything is political and everything spoken is a demonstration of political relationships and desires. Liberals' "jokes" tend to be bitter wishes for misfortune and harm to non correct people like Ronald Reagan stepped in a pile of dog ordure and broke his wrist snarf snarf ha ha snarf spoken with tight jaws and a narrow grimace. Liberal TV execs try to bore or insult conservatives out of the audience because they know that even a reliable host/comedian might succumb to the temptation to cater to their conservative audience on the theory that they buy sponsors' stuff, too. Conservative audiences make them uncomfortable in that if conservatives are watching then they must be doing something unCorrect.

Leno is auditioning for his next show and knows that he can attract a big audience by opening up on Obama and the Rats. I think he could move to cable and take his audience with him..

Leno’s made the decision to appeal to ALL Americans - liberal and conservative. Not only are Leno’s numbers UP but his advertisers must be thrilled...

Yep! Ever since Leno went full mocking of Obama, his ratings have soared! The IRS, NSA spying scandals have been gold for him and he’s using it while the other lib host are tepid

No reason to move to cable - let the big three fight over him. I’ll bet his advertisers are getting a big boost from have conservatives watching his show. Middle class people might not be as wealthy as liberal elites, but there’s a whole lot more of us... and we buy products - not just ‘financial investment services and Rolls Royces’...

Letterman was funny as a young man. I was a fan of his late night show years ago. Personally, I think he’s off his rocker these days.

Letterman’s become a bitter, snarling old punk.A punk that hits on the hired help even when they’re young enough to be his granddaughter.

Letterman was funny in about 1986. I was in High School. He was "edgy".
Now, he's "old".

And we've since realized that his "edgy" stuff wasn't all that great to begin with. Check out the Letterman episode of "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" (Jerry Seinfeld's latest project). All that comes across from the guy is "Bitter, condescending old fart". The show is pretty good, though... with the worthwhile guests (such as Don Rickles).

Decades ago Letterman had a daytime show on NBC. It ran throughout the summer of 1980 and was the funniest show on TV. It started as a 90 minute show but was reduced to 60 minutes and ended in the fall. I used to watch it with my mother.

The early Late Night was also very funny. He had a golden TV spot with no competition and could have stayed at NBC with as much $ as he ever would have wanted, but his ego and desire to concur at 11:30 forced him to be stupid and narcissistic. He never consistently beat Leno and it fed into his already disturbed sense of inferiority.

Just goes to show that conservatives reward those who stand with them, even if they aren’t always conservative.

What the networks refuse to acknowledge is they automatically turn off 50% of their audience with these unfunny libs.

Leno went to the center and he now has all those viewers the libs don’t want.
