Obama's Signs Executive Action: If a Child 'Confesses' ... Mommy & Daddy Have a Gun...

[snip]
one of the 23 so called executive actions on gun control Obama recently signed called for doctors to ask their patients if they owned a firearm. This is not just directed at psychiatrists, but at all physicians including pediatricians. In other words, if your child confesses that Mommy and Daddy have a gun in the house that could conceivably be considered the actions of mentally defective individuals and you could be disarmed. Once we are disarmed we cease to be citizens and become subjects.

It opens the doors for government to deem Christianity as those who are Christians mentally unstable.
This opens the door for Christians being persecuted and put in camps.

Our children have seen a very liberal pediatrician for the last seven years. I don’t recall her ever asking our children about firearms. She has questionnaires for teenagers, but I don’t recall seeing the question there either. Our children who are 18 or over still go to this pediatrician because we trust her. I think she will retire soon due to the nonsense of Obamacare. She was all for socialized medicine, but she is not for sharing medical records without explicit permission from her patients. She sees far too much incompetence on a daily basis among area physicians and nurses in the local hospitals. She has a fear of a medical record being wrongly used against someone based upon a misdiagnosis of an incompetent or lazy physician.

Good answer but what happens to me after I say that?

That’s the end of it. If they don’t clue in, I say “I do not give out personal information to people just because they ask for it.” 999 people out of 1000 will not challenge you beyond that point.

2DV, I have a very chilling reaction when you post that. Please keep posting it (and ping me when you do).

Thanks,

I’ll try to remember but my CRS worsens by the hour it seems. Good thing my head is attached to my body.

WRONG.

You’d be getting sucked in to the game, because now you are debating whether the question is mandatory or not. Who cares if the question is mandatory?

The answer is “It may be mandatory for you to ask it, but I refuse to answer it.”.

Too many people here think the solution is to get cute and clever with word games. It isn’t. The solution is to refuse. Hit them head on. It can be done politely but firmly. Just Say No.

Why don’t doctors rebel and tell the gov’t to get lost? I can’t believe this is the USA.

I was only following orders.

Did anyone ever doubt where this was going after Roe?

Note that this executive action is directly forbidden by Obamacare.

Not that Obama has ever considered himself subject to the law.

Abortions are far more dangerous to America’s children, especially the black and brown ones.

Abortions kill 1.5 million children each year and guns only kill a thousand.

Where is the sense of proportion?

Doctors are not employees of the Executive Branch of the government. Executive orders can affect ONLY that branch of government.

Not so much.

Executive orders can impact any entity that receives money from the executive branch. (Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, CHAMPVA anybody??)

For example, as a DOD contractor, my company is required to comply with Executive Orders on classified material every day.

Of course, we wouldn't have to comply, but then we would forfeit competing for DOD work. Likewise, I'm sure physicians would be able to not comply, but they may end up forfeiting the ability to accept federally funded health benefits.

FUBO. OK, they are doing this at the direction of the state so here is the answer, I refuse to answer on the grounds it may incriminate me.

Who employs the doctor? The patient or the government?

It won't matter after Obamacare.

Ronald Reagan nailed it perfectly when he shared this observation. You can’t socialize the doctors without socializing the patients.

Print that form out (works better in pdf.) and have your doctor sign it. It’s aliability thing.

I would decline to answer any questions about firearms. None of their business.

When they ask me to step on the scales, I just look them straight in the eye, smile, and say no thank you, I’ll pass on that.

You don't consider it a relevant part of your medical profile?

My mother went through approximately a 20 year period when she refused to give her age to anybody. She doesn't care so much anymore, now that she's 92.

By the way, I don't care how much you weigh, it's none of my business but then again, I'm not your doctor.

I've had restaurant cashiers ask me how old I am, telling me, "it's for the senior discount", I simply ask them, "did you hear me ask for a senior discount?".

That is all true. However, I personally will not implement anything implemented by executive orders, nor will I go along with any of it. I suggest that all citizens do the same.
