Shoppers at a Wal-Mart on Crenshaw Boulevard described a scene of chaos and mayhem Monday night as unruly protesters stormed the store, tossing merchandise and trying to loot jewelry cases. . . . The women said they saw clothes on the floor and a little girl crying.

“She must have been in the middle of it,” Erica Williams said.

The two left the store and watched as the crowd continued to gather on Crenshaw Boulevard. When they decided to go shopping, they thought they were a safe distance from any potential problems.

Serves Wal-Mart right for putting a store on Crenshaw Boulevard. They must have determined the entire facility should be accounted for as a loss-leader when they built it.

LAPD Chief Charlie Beck put the public on notice that officers would be taking a more aggressive posture toward protesters beginning Tuesday. "This will not be allowed to continue," he said.

I'll believe that when I see it.

They must be slipping.

The Rodney King verdict was delivered on the afternoon of April 29, 1992 and by that afternoon they were rioting in full force. By May 1 the riot had reached a plateau. On May 9 the troops pulled out and 52 / 53 people were dead and S. Central was left in rubble.

At least they kept it local.

Those shoppers should have run to the book department. They’d have been safe there.

What’s the big deal? If WalMart is stupid enough to locate on Crenshaw then they must have a serious insurance policy for shoplifting and vandalism. I bet they make a mint there too - probably 75% of revenue from EBT/SNAP/WIC.

That the white creepy ass libs put the Trayvon story connected with looting is telling me that the manufactured story is not long for the media headlines and they want to move on to which gay couple is going to get married next.

“Looting” is a racist code word. You should say “non traditional shopping” instead. /s

I love the clueless doofus with the sign that says, "I have a son who looks like Trayvon."

That's wonderful, but the meaningful question is ...DOES HE ACT LIKE TRAYVON??
