Paul Ryan: ‘We don’t want to push people into citizenship’

Rep. Paul Ryan said Thursday that Republicans are taking care not to “push” illegal immigrants to become American citizens as part of any comprehensive immigration reform package.

“We don’t want to push people into citizenship,” Ryan said in an interview with KFYR 550 in Bismarck, N.D.

Ryan said immigrants are more interested in finding jobs than in becoming citizens.

“Most people just want to have a legal status so they can work to provide for their families,” he said.

Yeah, don’t ‘push’ the illegals into accepting something they’re uncomfortable with.

Patriotic tax-paying AMERICANS, on the other hand, scroo ‘em!

Hey Ryan, you butthead, it is not the responsibility of the United States, especially the Congress, to provide citizens of Mexico, jobs here in the USA. Our unemployment is high enough without having to compete with other countries' citizens coming here to "work to provide for their families". What a flaming a$$hole.

Paul Ryan says we cannot have a permanent underclass of Americans

The naivete of his statement considering our current ghetto situation is appalling.

I have no direct recent quotes, but the man was starting to make a fool of himself just like Rubio did. He's been too long in DC; if he doesn't learn to stfu about this issue, he needs to stay home and lift weights on his own nickel........

” Maybe Ryan is reacting to blowback? Did Gutierrez lie about Ryan? “

Who knows? All either of them ever do is lie.

Like I have said many times, Rubio & Ryan will walk away from this traitorous behavior very wealthy men, and in short order. At least they are $500 whores....they sold our sovereignty for big bux.

This guy is an idiot Ayn Rand fan-boy so I’m not too surprised by how dense he is. Politics is not bean-bag Ryan; nor is it an Ayn Rand novel.

He doesn't need to. He knows exactly what's up. He's a smart man with bad intentions. He's being dishonest with the American people.

No, Ryan. You want to gift-wrap it instead.

This might be the dumbest statement that I have heard come spewing from a career politicians pie hole.

By any chance did he sleep next to Kenedy’s grave or stand next to Mclaim for more than 10 seconds?

Of course he doesn’t care about citizenship, he just wants to help big business depress the wages of law-abiding citizens even more than they already do, and legally,, and that’s what this will do. Not that they are currently being stopped by hiring illegal behavior.

So, Mr. Ryan is saying they can stay and provide cheap labor but be second-class citizens? How elitist of him.

The puppet-masters are always trying to sneak one of their own by us. Ryan's no constitutional conservative...he's an adherent to the globalist new world order.

What about us AMERICANS that want jobs and can't find them because of the tidal wave of illegal invaders and other 3rd world immigrants Obama and the 1965 immigration ACt has been letting in?

now they want to give Amnesty to 30 million illegals who will take our jobs . and then each of these 30 million can bring in 5 family members each from the 3rd world ( turd world).

Then all these 3rd world immigrants can vote for democrats who will turn the USA into a communist state

wtf is wrong with this moron Ryan?

1. The Amnesty bill will give Amnesty to 30 million illegals.

2. Each of these 30 million new citizens can then bring in 5 family members from the 3rd world

3. All these countless millions of new 3rd world immigrants will vote for democrats.

4. Democrats will then have absolute power to do as they please which is to turn the USA into a communist state

5. Democrats are hard core communists , all of them .Obama, pelosi, Reid , feinstein, Shumer, Durbin , the news reporters , all democrats , all communists. their goal is socialism/communism , nothing less.

call congress, tell them: no immigration related bill from the House as it will be merged with the Senate Amnesty bill

If Jack French Kemp were still living, he would be the spokesman for illegall immigration that Paul Ryan is.

This point is so true but the Republican primary voters cannot understand it. These primary voters are more liberal than we have long thought.

Mark Levin has great ideas, but he is an admirer of Orrin G. Hatch and FL Rubio and can’t see through them.

Not anymore he isn’t.

He now states that he will never support Hatch again and has also stated that he thinks Rubio will face a very hard time getting re-elected.

He further has not had Rubio on his show anymore that I have heard in a long time, and I do listen everyday, so I suspect their friendship has been strained by his treacherous lies.
