The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's newborn son will 'suck the blood' of Russia in the mid-21st century and should therefore not be celebrated, a controversial Russian politician declared today. Vladimir Zhirinovsky, the leader of the nationalist Liberal Democrat Party, declared 'I don't care about the heir' before accusing the British monarchy of 'destroying our state'. The outspoken politician made his attention-grabbing comments in an interview with the state-run newspaper Rio Novosti.

They’re not royalty. Royalty rule. Elizabeth et. al. are nothing more than national mascots on the dole.

I’m up for THAT!!!

I just watched the Royals come out of the hospital with the new Prince, and he looks really tiny, compared to his daddy. And I was IMPRESSED when Daddy took the wheel of the Range Rover to drive to Grammma’s House!!! Mum was in the back with the Little Prince, fussing over him.

Brought a tear to me eye, it did...*snif*

Kate looks like she is still carrying. I am not being rude, just an observation. (Don’t hit me I am not married).

Were you weaned on a pickle, too? Celebrate the birth of a baby to a couple who will love it and care for it. The cup is ALWAYS half-full; never half-empty.

*sheesh*

Some women are like that. I know some women who have had only one child and look like that, and several others who have had seven or eight children and look like that. And then there are others who walk out of the hospital looking as if the pregnancy had never occurred, even after multiple pregnancies.

If the baby was large, and he was, it may be a few weeks before Kate gets “back to normal,” but if she is otherwise healthy, she may begin working on certain exercises to help with the bulge. Believe it or not, but nursing helps to reduce the size of the post-natal uterus.

It’s OK to be curious about things like that.

*hug*

No thanks necessary!

You never learn anything if you’re afraid to ask or voice a confusion. Me? I’m a VERY curious person!! So I look for answers. And I always have questions. And if I can help someone else, I consider it being paid forward. :o])

Interesting. I’ve always been fascinated by the “talk” of Francis Bacon having been the rightful heir to the throne, he being the illegitimate son of Queen Elizabeth...but then was she a rightful heir?

The baby is clearly a racist pig who refuses to deliver justice for Trayvon.

You certainly have a point there. How dare Wills and Kate not have a black baby?

As well as the probable fact that the entire monarchic line from the beginning of the Tudors-— were never the rightful holders of the crown Deo Vindice.

Not through Henry VII but through Elizabeth, his children were indeed the rightful holders of the crown as she was the last remaining Plantagenet in the direct line.

Now you can argue if she should be considered being as Parliament declared her and her brothers illegitimate and then reversed it's self but as far as bloodlines go her children had a blood right to the throne.

I stand by the veracity of my statement. They seem like a nice couple, and I’m glad the kid is OK, but the hoopla has been over the top.

Why Russia?

Why not?

Lots of very good land and minerals. The place needs a bit of cleaning and patching and a new coat of paint and decent TP but we can have the place whipped into shape in no time.

Perhaps it’s because we have no icon in America that we can “exalt” for their (previous) status in the world. So what if it isn’t a “real” monarchy? Does that hurt the world? Or does it give people a little bit of “dream” to hang on to, when our own government is so shamefully treasonous?

I for one, choose to be happy for Great Britain and the Commonwealth because I know the people MUST have something solid to hang onto when their own country is being beset by terrorists, just as ours is.

The difference? We have no “royalty” to cling to. We have our guns and our religion and the rest of it looks pretty dismal.

So I will say again...the cup is half-full. And who can’t be excited by a birth?

A joke mentioned by Ann Coulter: A Frenchman, an Englishman and a Russian are told they have only one day until the end of the world. The Frenchman says he will spend his last day with a bottle of Bordeaux and a beautiful woman. The Englishman says he will take his favorite sheepdog for a walk across the moors. The Russian says he will burn down his neighbor's house.

Many Russians are consumed with envy. It explains their bout with communism. Envy is a side effect of vanity. It would be good to know what convinced them they are walking gods. Half of America has now fallen for it, whatever it is.

the Queen came out in favor of gays marrying

She did nothing of the kind. She signed the royal assent to an act of parliament legalising gay marriage. She had no option but to do so, since the royal assent is the last formal stage in the passage of any statute; and it's the monarch's constitutional duty to sign, whatever his or her private views might be on the matter. Assent doesn't mean approval.
