And the next host of the Academy Awards is Ellen DeGeneres.
It will be DeGeneres second tour of duty as Oscar host, having previously emceed the 79th annual Academy Awards in 2007 and earning an Emmy nomination. The popular syndicated talkshow host also fronted the Emmys in 2001 and 2005 (co-hosting them in 2003).
I am so excited to be hosting the Oscars for the second time, DeGeneres said, joking that you know what they say the third times the charm.

But the liberal, pro-homosexual and Obama/Clinton lovefest is too nauseating....and three and a half hours of navel gazing also gets old.
I wonder which formal gown designer she will chose?
Just a guess ... the same one who designs Hillary’s pantsuits?
“I wonder which formal gown designer she will chose?”
Levi Strauss?
C.J.: "They sent me two turkeys. The most photo-friendly of the two gets a Presidential pardon and a full life at a children's zoo. The runner-up gets eaten."Bartlet: "If the Oscars were like that, I'd watch."
DVRs were made for shows like the Oscars. I can start watching the show 15 minutes before the end, and catch up to real-time just as it ends. That’s about the maximum amount of time I want to spend watching the show. Of course, if I were in the market for 5-figure designer gowns, I might take a full 20 minutes to view it.
The only thing more tedious than watching the Oscars is the NFL Pro Bowl from Hawaii.
part of the onslaught and promotion of the
pro-homosexual life-style. They are coming at us from all directions now.
Calling Bob Hope. Calling Bob Hope.
Bob, if there is any possible way you can make it to the Academy Awards this year please let me know. You have no idea what has went on since you “retired”.
Do any of these award shows have an audience?
People still watch this vapid self-congratulatory ego-fest?
As a movie fan, I used to watch the Oscars in my younger days. Before the advent of home video, it was a thrill just to see a clip from the movies that were nominated. I never really cared much who won, as I have never considered the Oscars a barometer of good film-making.
Once home video became a reality, shows that featured snippets of movies didn't do much for me anymore. I can't remember the last time I watched even a minute of an Oscar telecast. I don't care much for today's movies, and the presenters are all leftists and/or homosexual; so no, thank you.
If I were homosexual, I'd watch it. All gays watch the Oscars.
Just a gay old time. Hollywood is lost....again??? Still???
I have not watched any awards show in decades. I think maybe in the early 80’s is when I last watched.
No matter who hosts the Oscars, I don’t watch it. I have no interest in Hollyweird libs giving awards to other Hollyweird libs.
This doesn’t bother me. I haven’t watched the Academy Awards since I was in high school. I graduated in 1968. The Oscars show is more boring than NBA basketball and NFL football. It says right here, that’s boring!!!
